A few from the weekend,i headed out into farmland on Sunday but it was pretty quiet I could see plenty of birds on the wing but most were too far away to get a decent shot, I saw the pheasant sitting at the foot of a low stone wall but he flew up the second he saw me, I wish I had a bit more time with him as he was a handsome big lad.

Thanks, Johnie. I was so close to those gulls today that I could have performed a gastroscopy. :56::56:

Most times we go up to Eagle's Rock at home in Moydamlaght forest, a pheasant or two will suddenly fly up and away. If they hadn't moved, we would never have seen them anyway. Wee bombscares. :56:

I know exactly what you mean, Scotia. There was a high end apartment block across the street from where I worked a few years ago. The gulls had a nest somwhere in the building but every time the residents of a particular apartment appeared at the window, the gulls would go into a frenzy and dive bomb. They'd pepper the windows and walls with *. Absolutely stinking.

I swerved to avoid a deer carcass in Tweedsmuir this evening.

Does that count as a sighting?
