    Why isn't McNamara in anyones team? Left back, right back, right mid, centre mid. It didn't matter. He was so consistent. Like a superior Mark Wilson with incredible versatility. Excellent weight of pass, solid in the tackle, a far superior footballer to the likes of Balde and Valgaeren.

    Heh... this thread is so heavily weighted in favour of MON players.

    3-5-2 is a formation hardly anyone uses nowadays - but MON did use it, and bought players who would fit it, so we associated his players with that formation. None of our other managers have used it.

    Personally I'd never play a system that required three centre backs - but if I did I'd want at least one or two of them to be players who could do more than just sit in the middle like a big lump, a la Bobo.
