Izaguirre

 

Izzy could be the best full back since Danny McGrain so I voted for him. World class!

 

You could easily pick Hooper, Izzy, Kayal or big Maj. Those 4 players have been absolutely pivotal in why we're top of the league by 8pts. Collectively, they have worked extremely hard for the team.

I've had to vote for Hooper, simply because of his goals & his unselfishness in dropping off & bringing others into attack. Missed him when he was out injured & I think in terms of putting the ball in the back of the net, he'll be a very important player for us, for years to come.

Joe Ledly has been consistently good

 

between Izzy Kayal Hooper and Stokes for me, chose Izzy because hes been a huge assest this season

 

Thought Ki deserved a vote.

 

I gave it to izzy, but if kayal hadnt have gor his injury then maybe he would have took it. Hoops is up there to but izzy just takes it by a nose.

 

Hard choice between hooper and izaguirre, went for izaguirre as he's the best left back we've had in a while.

 

I'd say; kayal, hooper, izzy, broony, mulgrew, wilson, samaras, ledley... Oh wait, only 1? Haha too hard...

 

if you only consider 2011... kayal imo..

Brown and Kayal for me have not had enough game time to warrent player of the year.
Before christmas it was a two horse race between Ki and Izzy. But with Kis enforced exile and losing his place in the team it has to be Izzy.

 

Voted for Izzy!

Think a lot of players are performing at the mo and, if we keep it up, it will be a tough choice at the end of the season!

Wilson, Mulgrew, Brown, Hooper, Stokes........ etc etc! All doing their bit for the team!

 

Ledley for me. He has been ever present and Mr consistant.

It was a close call between Izzy and Kayal. I went fro Kayal, simply because I feel that he's partly responsible for the team's outstanding performances since the turn of the year. I know we've had this new confidence and team spirit, but I think his return and all he brings to the side has really helped us get such great results in 2011.

 

i went for hooper, just ahead of izzy. his overall play and his goals make him invaluable to us. if there was a poll for most surprising player it would have to be mulgrew.

 

he's made six less appearances than Izaguirre, two less than Ki and the same as Cha, the player you voted for. so you handicapping Kayal for his lack of appearances is not applicable. Cha scoring the most important goal is highly arguable. the best of the season, in my opinion, no doubt. but most important? you could say the same thing for Murphy scoring the winning goal against Motherwell earlier on in the season to win 3 points.

if you couldn't tell yet, i voted for Kayal. think he has been the heart of our midfield. his abilities are too many to name. think he has been the reason, along with Ledley, why we have seen such an improvement in Brown. we certainly missed him and went through a bad patch when he was injured.

i think everyone is high on Izaguirre's performance against Rangers. don't get me wrong, he is a great player, i just think Kayal has been more consistent. i think the fact that Kayal has won player of the month and Izaguirre hasn't highlights Kayal's credentials for the accolade.

for me, it was either Kayal or Hooper. think Hooper adds more to the team than just goals. and he scores a lot of goals. all in all, it's nice to have half the squad fighting for player of the year. i think it's a certainty that we will dominate the league player awards as well.

 

i voted izzy purely because since he came here he has been the stand out performer in so many games. i can only think of 1 game this season where he was off the boil and that was up against templeton at tynecastle
