Same as mine here.

Only reason Wanyama isn't there is because he can play CB too. Otherwise, he'd be in there.

Honestly don't know how Brown even gets a look in with our midfield options.

 

Wrongly so, in my opinion.

 

Just this season: Brown - Wanyama - Ledley - Forrest. Kayal has not been up to much tbh. Pish at the start, half decent in the middle, dropping away slightly just before the Huns match (despite us winning) imo.

 

I want a Midfield 5.

Forrest - Kayal - Ki - Wanyama - Samaras.

I don't think we've ever been this blessed with an abundance of midfield talent in my lifetime.

I thought this too at first but in the past few weeks he's done ok and the lads in the dressing room seem to be behind him..... he's also the longest serving player in the first team, so mabye he's the best candidate available at the minute.

This for me. Let's face it though, not gonna happen, lenny will probably go with something along the lines of (in away games)

Having thought about it I'd also like to see Commons back in the team. The problem with that is, is that he probably won't instantly recapture the magnificent form of last season and fans will potentially get on his back about it if he doesn't. A couple of sub appearances would help get him back up to speed.

really hard to pick, i went for brown kayal wanyama ledley though I remember last season brown kayal ledley commons was deadly

and then there's forrest to fit in as well! great that we have such a strong midfield!

 

It's so hard to choose! One the one hand I want Ledley with Kayal not Wanyama, then i think of how dominant Kayal and Wanyama can be together physically, then how reliable and important Ledley is and so on...

As he is out injured and Wanyama has been so excellent, as it stands i think my first choice would have to be...

But now i'm regretting leaving Kayal out!

 

My preference would be: Forrest, Kayal, Wanyama, Ledley, Commons.

Great that we have Ki that can come in there, as well as maybe another attacking mid, such as Rab, McCourt, or one of young Bhoys, like McGeough.

I do firmly believe that the position is Common's, though, and he really needs to solidify it, before the end of the season. Otherwise, I'd be looking at someone else taking it up.

Wanyama's versatility and ability off-the-ball make him a vital member, too. Arguably our most important cog in the team. Behind Ledley, I suppose, but no one else. Hooper is another, I feel, but that is another matter.
