Isle of Dogs, closely followed by BlackKklansman and Bohemian Rhapsody, for me.

Was ‘3 Billboards’ 2017 or 2018? Probably that.

    Didn't see any of those.

I really liked Super Troopers 2, though. :giggle1:

Did you make a film of the wife. Obviously highly recommended by yourself.

Blackkklansman was very good. Spike Lee was a bit more fast paced and action compared to his normal style. Usually concentrates on a social story with a focus and strong insight into black family or community issues. A bit slower to microscope the story and watch it unfold.

The first one was so funny - one of my all time fav comedies and had similiar high hopes for this one. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

Setting Stan and Ollie aside (as it was a drama about 2 comedians so there were some funny sequences in it, but it was primarily a drama), to say that the bar for comedy was set pretty low this year is also an understatement. Blockers the only one would bother with again - and there was possibly only about half a dozen decent laughs in that.

Gotti was dreadful, embarassing and utterly cringy.

Mile 22 was a major disappointment. Really liked the 2 previous Berg/Wahlberg collaborations, Deep Horizon and Patriot's Day, so had high hopes for this. Instead, Mile 22 took a very simple idea for an action film and made a complete shambolic mess out of it.

Least favourite was the new Robin Hood. Walked out after half an hour.

    Annihilation.

Barely watched any films from 2018, actually. Felt like a pretty boring year for big releases anyway.
