Looks so good in tight spaces with quick feet. Lot of his stuff looks off the cuff so has that unpredictability that defenders don't like..

 

Reckon him and kwon will be announced tomorrow after the game and would be then joining the squad in Japan. Could be a busy week if we get them and any of reda, Ferreira and tete. Hopefully some truth in them

 

Celts are close to sealing deals for South Korean stars Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Yang Hyun-Jun.

But they will NOT be joining the Hoops squad in the Far East this week.

It’s understood both players will jet to Glasgow next week after the squad returns to Scotland.

Tbh they might not feature first couple games… all still depends on how the squads looking and comings and goings over the next couple of weeks. Rodgers could go safe with the usual starters playing but I am looking forward to seeing the new guys and think if anyone’s impressing he will give them the chance

Yang Hyeon-joon (21), who is about to join the Scottish Premiership (SPL) powerhouse Celtic, headed to Scotland with a grand dream.

On the afternoon of the 19th, Yang Hyun-joon boarded a plane to Scotland via Incheon International Airport. After going to London, England via Turkiye Istanbul, Yang Hyun-joon will move from London to Glasgow.

After joining Celtic, Yang Hyun-jun conducts a medical test, discusses the detailed contract, and finalizes his transfer.

Yang Hyun-jun, who joined Gangwon FC in 2021, played in 9 games in the first year of his debut. He exploded his potential the following year, posting eight goals and four assists in 36 games. He was also promoted to his A team for his performance in Gangwon.



Yang Hyun-jun, who showed potential, swept both the 2022 K-League Young Player Award and the Korea Football Association (KFA) Young Player Award.

Celtic sent an active love call to Yang Hyeon-jun, who stood out in Gangwon, from last May. Kangwon declined the offer to Yang Hyun-joon, considering the team's performance, which is currently in 11th place out of 12 teams. However, as Yang Hyun-joon strongly wanted to advance to Europe, he decided to challenge Celtic.

Yang Hyun-joon met with reporters ahead of departure and said, "I've been able to experience the European stage that I've dreamed of since I was young, but I still can't feel it. If I get on a plane, take Celtic's medical test, and exercise with my new colleagues, I'll be able to realize it." .

He added, "Surviving at Celtic is the priority. Everyone is a competitor, so I think the most important thing is to survive unconditionally," adding, "Adaptation comes first."

 

South Korean winger Yang Hyun-jun, meanwhile, has landed in the UK to complete his £2.1m move from Gangwon, with compatriot Kwon Hyeok-kyu tying up loose ends before the midfielder following suit.

 

This guy should be match fit though, which the others probably won't be and this could be an advantage. I think we definitely saw that with Kyogo in 21. He was fit right from the get go and even AZ couldn't handle him.

 

We'll be needing this lad to hit the ground running, I suspect.

 

True I hope he comes in and makes an impression, forgetting his season is mid way to 3/4. You’d still think unless he impresses in say the wolves game where we might first see him that rodgers will not take an unnecessary gamble for first couple fixtures and go with a team that’s played a lot of football together like say maeda Lw, kyogo cf, Abada rw etc

 

If there is one position Rodgers may take a chance it is probably a winger.

The front 3 you mention are all players who don’t want to be on the ball often and we will have all the ball against Ross County. Yang seems to be a winger who likes to get on the ball and could see him providing a nice balance.

We still have games against Wolves and Bilbao so you would think he would have some game time going in and is mid season so fitness should be decent. I think out of the four players we signed Yang is probably the one I think could get in the team more than others particularly if Abada goes.

 

This has been one of the longest sagas in a while.

 

I hope so, I want him to come in and be a starter but I wouldn’t worry if he’s not right away could be a few weeks before he settles into the squad especially with the amount of players we have here already. Bit of luck he kicks on from the start though
