The other one hit 15 goals in 17 for AIK the year we signed Mo Bangura. He was much better than Mo. Was suggested at the time that Henrik recommended Teteh Bangura to the club but we signed Mo Bangura instead.

Do agree about Yang though. Didn't realise he'd won Korean player of the season the year we bought him

Was it both him and Kwon won their league/division awards then?

As I say, certainly something about our Yang, player in there.
But as with most young talent, specially coming across the world, needs games and time

We must have signed the wrong player. Our Yang is not that young. The other Yang is 18.

 

My point was that both were total mince and had pretty poor careers after AIK. Either would have flopped here. But I don't believe rumours that we literally signed the wrong one

 

Mikey Johnston has looked better. But if anyone can develop him properly, it's Brendan.

 

There’s been times when he’s shown glimpses of being a genuine talent, but there’s a real lack of consistency which can largely be attributed to his poor decision making. If we really are trying to bring in another winger, you would think he’d probably be better off looking for a loan where he would actually get some consistent game time.

Honestly, I can see him bouncing between a few European clubs, never ever really managing to put it all together, before eventually ending up back in South Korea where he has a pretty good career.

 

Granted he's only been getting 10 mins but that's two games in a row he's came on and hid. We need another winger asap.

 

I just don’t rate him at all. Would love to be proven wrong long term.

I think we should try get him loaned down South. Swansea have just signed another South Korean and Stoke had success with a South Korean forward last year, would one of them take him on loan?

It really is time to get some of these players out playing as 10 - 15 minutes here and there is no good.

I still think he will come good , similar to oh in a way, feels like he's putting too much pressure on himself.

 

Aye but oh never came good. He scored a few aye granted but the Korean market for us was a huge flop

 

Has some decent enough attributes, but he’s never making it here.

Could have a decent career somewhere though.

 

Loan him out and give the kid a chance to prove himself somewhere without the pressure to perform that’s here.

It could do him the world of good and have him return a better and more confident player.

We need to better utilise loan opportunities, even if it’s just to make it easier to move players on for a half decent fee.
