I’m not missing your point, I’m saying it’s a pointless hypothetical theory. You believe Yang would have lost the ball anyway when you don’t actually know, so you’re choosing to blame him instead of McGregor. He was the free man, play the ball to him at least give him a chance.

You don’t just intentionally stop passing to a player in a game, it’s never happened in the history of the sport.

If McGregor lost it you’d be in his thread screaming why didn’t he play it.

Definitely needs a loan move. Has his moments but today Definitely wasn't it.

He isn't the standard we need. Good on the ball yes but his situational and tactical awareness is so poor it negates anything good he can do. He is probably only getting a game as the only other option is Forrest!!

I thought Brendan got most of the big decisions right today, however bringing Yang on wasn't one of them. As soon as he entered the game my first thought was that I'm not sure I trust Yang in this situation, and so it proved to be.

Surely Forrest with his experience would have been the better option. Better understanding of the situation, more diligent defensively, better able to keep the ball...

He did lose it and I am giving him stick.

A player of Mcgregors experienced should of known that was the wrong pass regardless of if he underhit it or not.

1 because it's a square pass across the pitch 40 yards from his own goal and would have put any player under pressure and secondly bcoz it was to a player who was performing like a rabbit caught in the headlights for 20 mins and his captain shouldn't have been putting him in that position.

He needs to improve defensively, or he'll not make it. Can you imagine a Neil Lennon type player, tolerating that poor excuse for a challenge, then chucking it?

Not going to call time on his Celtic career after that. It's an infuriating moment but I think there needs to be cooler heads.

A boot up the * required and a warning regarding his defensive responsibilities. Also wouldn't be coming on ahead of Forrest for the run-in in my opinion just due to the experience factor.

Reset again in the summer and either loan him out or see how he does in pre-season. That was bad yesterday, but just feels a bit early to be saying "out the door".

Doubt he'd even have came on that early but they strategically booked khun who was doing great tracking back. Rodgers knew the game plan of that ref.

didn't quite have the mentality for that game yesterday. Shame because I think he's done okay considering new country/surroundings etc. Too early for me to say yeah punt him though.

Shocking at the goal. Still have high hopes for him. He was picking up some real momentum before that joke of a red

Excellent ability going forward but he’s Forrestesque with his defensive side, so * passive and didn’t put a foot in twice that led to goals.

In hindsight Jamesy was the change to make when he came on. Would have brought far more security and experience.

Was pretty much a waste of a sub.

I'm happy to be corrected by the future events, but I wouldn't even bother loaning his out.
Not good enough for us, not suited for the SPFL (or whatever the league is called nowadays)

As poor as out options may be surely for this type of match, it would have been better served getting guys like Forrest on

Best of luck to him but I don’t ever want to see him in a Celtic shirt again. Simply nowhere near what we require and yesterday was the final straw - he’s complicit in their final two goals, especially the third.

Came on to say this. You've put it more eloquently then I would've.

Forrest doesn't do anything spectacular anymore, but he keeps it nice and tidy, his ball retention is excellent. He knows the atmosphere, knows the occasion etc. * no brainer to put him on there.

We have too many players who are sub standard, and not streetwise. Only players like Ralston, maybe McGregor have that sense to go down when they need to, kill the game a bit, use the head.

Could be an age thing as we have had a really young team for a long time.

Think there's a bit of an overreaction on him tbh..

He had been excellent until the red card v Hearts and its sometimes difficult coming off the bench in these games. Forrest may have been the better sub..

    He's still young at 21.
