Good lad you've admitted you were wrong

The first step is addressing that

I admit to have previously disregarded his chances of making it here
Looking more and more likely I completely misjudged it
I wouldn't mind to be proven totally wrong on this

Where do I sign up for the Yang Gang?

I think it’s time to drop Kuhn so Hibs get jumped in to the Yang Gang.

I always thought the raw materials were there to work with but I was starting to lose confidence in him before Christmas. I felt he had been here long enough to see if he could put it together I and didn't hold out much hope.

Last couple of months though? Wow. Delighted for him.

Genuinely surprised at the turn around but delighted for the young man. Haven’t seen the game but I’m looking forward to sticking on the highlights and seeing the contribution Yang made.

Seems to have worked out how to play wide in this system and it's paying dividends . You're a second striker when the ball is on the other wing get yourself in the box and get goals.

and a double from Yang, who was also denied a third by an offside flag, while it was his stunning pass which set up Maeda to score his 26 goal of the season.

And the South Korean’s performance in Paisley, coming off the back of his goal in the 5-1 midweek win over Aberdeen, earned praise from the Celtic manager.

“I’m so pleased for him and he works so hard,” said Brendan Rodgers. “He’s such a good guy, and whether he starts or whether he comes off the bench, he can make an impact.

“So to get his two goals – his third goal would have been a great goal but it was disallowed – and then his pass for Daizen’s goal, to see it and execute it was so, so good, I’m very pleased with him.”

I was one of his biggest critics as I was fed up with his level of play. Humble pie for me!! As long as he continues with his recent impacts on games then I’m happy for him.

Think the biggest thing that’s now showing is his mentality and that’s something Rodgers is always good at instilling. Now the hardest thing for him will be following up with a performance starting, he’s very good off the bench but needs to show it now from the start of a game.

It's not the fact he scored 2 goals, it's the fact they were both headers. Mad Yang doing Yang hings.

You must be delighted for Yang, Brendan?

Aye, it's just time. Aye, listen, I think it will help that his girlfriend's here at the moment! So I said to the guys, see if we can keep her here! See if we can get that visa sorted!

Everyone knows he's in a really good mood and he has been for a little while. He has two goals. His pass for Daizen Maeda’s goal to see it and then to execute it.

Wow, what a pass. And like I said, he's a young player who's developing and improving. And like you say, he's played a really, really important role for us.

There's obviously been starters ahead of him, but you need guys like this in your squad. And I thought he came into the game and was so direct. Gets into the areas, he was so good

His first goals textbook, the movement and then the header?

Aye, brilliant. And Jeff obviously makes a great cross in his second one.

But the first one, like you say, lovely ball by Reo and he was there. And it's what we want. Our wingers will always score goals if they get into the right areas.

We constantly preach. Second post, second post, second post. And he was there for them

There's talk of Yang potentially earning a recall to the South Korean national team as well. I'm guessing on the type of form that he's shown at this moment in time, he can hopefully kick on and secure his place in the national team?

That would be a great reward for him.

But he also knows that just keep making an impact here, whether you start, whether you come off the bench, and he can do no more. He's done fantastic.

He's come in at Champions League level, been effective, come in domestically, been effective.

And to have a young guy like that who brings that enthusiasm and quality and now he's starting to get goals, yeah, hopefully that can happen for him.

After the game was over, he had a moment with the supporters as well?

Aye, aye. I think he'll stay there all night. But it's so good for him. He's such a great kid. He works so hard every single day.

He doesn't moan. He doesn't groan. He's tough.

He's a tough boy. He's physical. It hasn't always come off for him because he's adapted to the intensity and the pressure.

But now you're starting to see a young guy evolve as a football player and as a person. So I'm so happy for him.
