So did Yang get pass marks or not today ? Got an assist anyway.

I like him I think. I know it's become a bit of a cliche regarding him but he's got something.

What I've noticed is that he's definitely improving. You can see the small improvements he's made to his game with the caveat that he still has a good bit to go before he'll ever be a first-choice here. He's 22, so he's young but obviously not just a boy anymore. It'll be interesting to see if he ever does make it into a first pick for us, but I can definitely see him being worth keeping around as a squad player if not.

Still think he's the absolute perfect fit for a loan move somewhere. Not sure what the best environment would be for him, but honestly don't thin he's the write off some believe he is.

50/50 today imo. First half he played well but made a wrong choice on the break second half and it killed his momentum. Still got work to do mentally.

We need players who are at that level though. Can’t have 28 guys who are all first-choice or reasonably vying to be. At the other extreme, we have often had players at the club who are two injured players away from having to start, and yet haven’t a sniff of a chance of making a decent impact, and so don’t provide any real depth.

‘Decent’ at fourth/fifth choice wins you trophies.

Link up play is utterly missing. Must be infuriating for those around him. Particularly, as it's a key part of what Rodgers looks from the players.

If you've laid off a nothing pass where a guy has to swivel and turn 3 players to score, it shouldn't count as an assist :giggle1:

I kinda agree, but it does so we'll take it. :giggle1:

5 goal contributions in his last 3 matches. One every 29 minutes :fear:

Particularly when he plays in place of Khun who links up with others so well and contributes so much.

Never once went to the byline, just cut back inside every time.

Perfect, imo,* with the right sort of full-backs and CMs in tow.

*Edit: I mean wingers who cut inside generally; not that Yang himself is perfect. :56:

Big potential but our league dosnt suit him. He needs to play in a game where the game is going back n forth.

Yes would suit a team like East Fife and that would be his level. As I’ve said before, only getting a game because of lack of numbers and the hectic schedule.

His lack of quality shone through tonight when he came on. Really really don't want to see him play for us again.

Too much of a quality drop between Kuhn and him.

So harsh to come to this thread.

Aye he might not be good enough. But any one of our wingers would have struggled on the ball in that last 15 mins when the rest of the team are tiring and a top class opponent is banging on the door.

Any of our other wingers would have had the brains to pass it rather than try and beat 5 Bayern players on their own.

Maybe, but if I remember right in that moment Idah wasn't forward and the midfield were totally * and werent exactly bursting into space and he got swarmed. Sure he could have done better in a couple of moments but he wasn't the only player who lost the ball tonight.

Just a bit odd to slate anyone in a Celtic shirt tonight.

It's just really frustrating to see someone as bad as he is playing for us.

The truth is somewhere in the middle with him.

It is correct to say all our wingers would have struggled come on for the last 20 mins in that game tonight. We were sitting deeper, wasnt the same level of press. Options wouldnt be what they were there earlier in the game.

In saying that, there is a solid drop of from him and Kuhn. A year at a club like hibs might be the making of him. If not we move him on.

But the problem currently is the player on the bench is a level below the player starting. We needed fresh legs in the middle of the park in the last 10 mins. But we didnt have anyone on the bench deemed capable. Yang is an example of this on the wing.
