Xbox Series X

So I just bought an xbox series s which will be my first xbox console, I still plan on buying a ps5 eventually as my main console down the line but since that could be a way off i thought I might aswell take the leap now and get an xbox since theres * all to play at the moment and if Bethesda games are going to be exclusive to xbox in future I knew I would have to get one eventually anyway.

I've got one question though, I know halo is the big franchise for xbox but I'm not sure where to jump in? Should I start with a more recent game or play the master chief collection from the beginning? Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Are these easier to get now?

First time I've ever looked at getting one since the release and in sweden everywhere is out of stock

 

The series s was easy to get for me on Amazon, think it was available for a good while before I even tried to get one, no queuing or anything. Ps5 and series x are still nearly impossible to get from my experience.

 

I coulda got a ps5 earlier no bother so i think the mad rush is relaxing a wee bit. Got the new Xbox in January but took me ages to get one.

 

Went and bought a series s today purely out the fact that I'm having to quarantine.

 

Managed ot get a Series X today by following one of these twitter alert profiles. Sold out in a couple of minutes.

Anyone wanting to get one I would recommend following @UKPS5Notify and @StockNotifierUK on Twitter and enabling alerts so you get them instantly. I have been following for 3 weeks and there are alerts to UK stock almost daily. I managed to get in one the moment it was posted and BOOOOM.


My son is going to has a One S in his room, it is using my gold sub and gamepass. So is it still a case of I leave his XBox as my main one then we can both use my gold subscription and gamepass downloads when he uses his profile on his one? Also in doing that what will happen if he tries to play the Series X with his profile?

So anyone know of any Series X drops happening soon? My day one Xbox One literally died on me out of nowhere last night

 

There are drops probably weekly but you need to be on the button, see my previous post. Far more drops than some places let on.

Scored an Xbox series X on Very today with an extra controller for roughly £508, not the cheapest but well chuffed to manage to get one ordered

 

If it came with an extra controller that's about right, I was £500 but like yours it came with an extra controller.

 

Will be under warranty mate

Got the Series X this morning and the console.is bigger than I thought but is so quiet and the controller feels good.

Transferred a few games over (Forza Horizon 4, COD Black Ops and PES 2021) and it's currently doing updates to improve them for the new hardware

 

Good stuff mate I’ve still not nabbed one but hopefully get sorted soon.

 

I used an app called Hotstock and upgraded to premium for £4.49 and it drops a notification to your phone as soon as stock is available.

I think upgrading to premium on the app is key to getting one so good luck

Update, after sitting down to use this thing for the first time it's unreal.

You won't be impressed by the user interface as it's pretty much the Xbox one but the load speed and graphics are definitely an upgrade (especially the loading speed it's unreal, the quick resume is an amazing feature).

Also the controller felt strange at first as it's textured but now it feels natural and responsive.
