Pavelnchenko wouldn't give the SPL a second glance, neither would Silvestre/ The others could well be expensive transfers that are * pish.

And what does your sig mean? After last season you would think he would try and please the fans!

AFTER LAST SEASON IN WHICH HE WON 3 IN A ROW AND GOT TO THE LAST 16 THE FANS SHOULD TRY AND PLEASE HIM!

Do you think rankers were worring about the stregnth of the Celtic team when they were on the road to doing their 9 in a row (second team in Scotland to do so)?

after we * sneaked the leauge! if we didnt win the leauge people were booing us off the pitch after we lost to motherwell... and after we managed to win the spl pete lawwell told us he will give strachan plenty of money to spend in the summer.... somewhere along the line the board has * us! and strachan isn't at fault but he isn't fighting the board for the cash we need!

i am not content for us to scrape through with luck! and to have captain mick is a whole nother thing! he should never be in that position!

If they didn't trust him Lubo then surely he would be out the door, however I wouldn't trust him either.

It may well be Lawwell as you suggest, but then you would have to question WGS's backbone. If he is not getting the money Lawwell is publicly suggesting then if he had a spine he would walk.

For me it's all a mind Fxxk, smoke and mirrors so to speak.

I think that's a lot easier said than done. In fact, if he did walk I'd think less of him. Suggesting if he can't get it his way, he should take his ball home and tell everyone to screw off... that's just not a logical progression of mature events to me.
I really like Lawwell as well, at least as a businessman he can be very savvy. But at some juncture there is a major disconnect -- I can tell from other posts of yours that you at least agree on that.
And, to me, all indications seem to be that the disconnect lies somewhere on the business side.

I would think more of him, if he is unable to do his job properly through no fault of his own then why carry the can? Ultimately if he fails then he will be blamed.

As to disconnect I am not sure what you mean, in regards to him and the fans, him and the manager or him and the reality of transfer dealiings?

It's funny because it seems like a good rhetorical question.
However, I'm not so sure it is. Certainly doesn't seem to me like the board shares the concept of improving at the expense of their budget... and they're the ones who hired him.

By disconnect I mean, for instance, that we don't have a LB. That's just an example, but it's the glaring obvious one.
Why? The choices that spring to mind are
-the Scouts aren't scouting enough or at the right price level
-Gordon isn't able to pick a LB out of the scouting reports and his own scouting
    -Lawwell can't seal the deal
-The board is unwilling to fund it

It's probably combinations of the above, but for me I'm leaning heavily towards the last one. The board is unwilling to stump up the funds.
In my opinion this is why we get ridiculously complicated deals from Lawwell -- he's punching above his weight to get * done. And also why the large majority of our signings are dirt-cheap "diamonds" or "youth."

So what your suggesting is in his mind he can significantly strengthen the team on a shoe string?

If that's the case then maybe he should have a wee gander at Sky sports news tonight, he may sxxt himself or at the very least get a reality check.

I wouldn't trust strachan to get me a loaf of bread from the shop. He'd go buy a bag of sweeties and take * ages to come back up the road. Then when he gets in talks alot of crap :31:

I'm suggesting he finds himself in that position and that's what the board expects him to do. From his own transfer comments, he doesn't sound peachy on the concept to me. He sounds like he's been let down.

You mean WGS dosen't sound peachy?

As form my point of view Lawwell has been sounding confident.

By the board you mean Lawwell?

Sorry mate if I am not picking you up accurately.
