Do you think the goals will suddenly dry up when he leaves? At the end of the day, he's a striker and he's 3rd choice at the moment. He's not as good out on the wing, and we have enough out there.

He gives us the option of switching formation as well, which is reason enough to keep him around. His assist numbers are excellent and thise stats dont lie. Tony Stokes makes goals for other players and scoring goals is the whole point of football.

He was getting nowhere near the team in the second half of the season, when we signed GMS and Armstrong. Now with Forrest seemingly fitter than ever, Stokes is even less likely to get a game. Plus we just signed Janko who can play out wide.

Why can't people just accept that players move on eventually? If we received a bid of £1.5 million for him, we should take it.

In Scotland nobody comes close to feeding a no9 better than Stokes. Nobody. You would sell our best assister in 4 out of the last 5 seasons for 1.5m and keep Scep. This is not logical thinking.

I will counter you last sentance and flip it around to say:
Why cant people just accept that we should keep players who have done the business for us in the past.

What is with the obsession for punting players, especially players who have been good for us.

I'd hazard a guess that Stokes is one of the highest earners in the squad right now. If we could sell what is essentially, a sub at best, for £1.5 million and free up a decent chunk of wages, we should.
