    :50: Same.

Think we need to be aiming higher, dont get me wrong i will still back him, he could jump at the opportunity and suddenly turn great. but im not expected much from him, probably be at motherwell or something in a few seasons

You're complaining about Hooper because he came from a "lower tier" English club yet you're annoyed with Lennon for not signing someone from the exact same league.

    Come on to *.

Hooper's got the ability to be as deadly in front of goal as skippy at his best imo

aww aye .. jesus ... hes a celtic man , so he gets my full support. Im not slagging the lad off by any means. Im just saying .. i never heard of him before .. and as a big position in the team , playing as a striker ,.. i would have hoped for someone of a bigger calibre.

I don't want McDonald back. He is a greeting faced *, and couldn't trap a bag of cement. His 1st touch is terrible. As for Hooper playing for a * team in Scunthorpe, McDonald was at Motherwell when we bought him and they are no Barcelona. I have wanted us to sign Hooper for a good year now, i have alot of faith in him.

Skippy was at motherwell before he signed for us and done extremely well. So whats to say hooper wont do the same or better coming from a better league than the SPL??

Hooper is faster, has a better touch and movement and Im sure he has a better goals to games ratio than skippy.

97 in 209 for Scott for Motherwell, Celtic and also Burra. But he's moved around and had short stints at numerous clubs before he settled. Also take into account that Scunthorpe might have a couple of better players than what Motherwell had when Skipp was there, now, i would fancy well's chances of beating them.

Theres hooper but you cant compare them, they've been at different levels in different countries

Bit harsh. He scored on his debut despite playing with brand new teammates, not being totally match fit and playing against a team who reached the Champ's league semis last season.

Why are you writing him off already?

im not writing him off, im backing him all the way. today was a friendly and it was a tap in to be fair, i just get that feeling from him. dont think he can be plunked out of a scunthorpe team and put up front for celtic in europe.

just my opinion. although i had a good feeling about mo camara :97: so i can be wrong

We "plunked" Lubo from a team called MSV Duisburg ......... and he was amazing. Previous clubs mean nothing and also the guy is only 22.

like i said its just my opinion, lubo was a gem found in some unheard of place yeh

but scunthorpe playing in the championship, its not exactly hidden, i cant help that think if he is as good as people are making out then why did only us go for him and middlesbrough enquiry, that was my only concern

I would take McDonald back if he was on the cheap but i'm fairly certain we can find a striker that can score just as many goals and can keep the ball a little better. The football world is a big place!

Should never have been sold, anyone that doubts him should look at his goalscoring record for us, it's phenomenal.

Plus he scored some vital goals against the huns, Man U, Milan, Spartak and Dinamo and was one of the main reasons we turned it around in that memorable finish to 2007-08.
