Haven't got a clue if he really was "the mole"...

but apart from finishing ability he brought nothing to the team, in fact a lot of negatives - very critical, slow, stubborn, overweight?, not great at holding up, selfish.

In a way he was like a short Kris Boyd but not quite the same scoring record. Yes he could do a decent job for us again, but we should and hopefully will be doing better.

i always liked skippy but his moaning and greeting was getting worse and worse the more his form dipped.

he was over weight and if he was sold for going to the press cos he was dropped then no we should not sign him again.

we sold him and made a tidy profit. we can get better.

For Mcdonald no brainer really better ratio

Im not sure when on with him being the mole etc but base on sheer finishing ability id have him back not at 3.5 m

I would take him back but would need to be a good bit less than the £3.5m he was sold for.. I think we'd get a better attitude from him also because he would have had his ego dented by being shipped out and would come back with a point to prove..
I wouldn't single him out for our dip in form during his final 12 months either because the whole team gave off a feeling of going through the motions with only a few guys looking motivated..

If it was possible to get him on the cheap and there's no objection within the staff at Celtic Park to bringing him back , then I'd say go for it.. A straight swap for Sammy would be ideal..

His form took a big hit after his first season, a drop from 31 goals in 07/08 to 19 in 08/09, doubt he'd reach that first year tally again.

I don't think it's a coincidence that 07/08 was the season McGeady was at his peak, and Naka was playing really well too. Without goals being laid out on a plate for him he doesn't have the all-round ability or workrate to make up for it.

If we get shot of mcgeady for 10mill then i think we shuld look at bringing in a big name striker rather than paying 3.5 mill for that moanin wee * skippy :icon_mrgreen:

Good wee finisher, but the guys got a bad attitude. If he's not picked he gets the * on big time. Gets far too frustrated at times when balls aren't coming his way, when a cool head is needed to settle the team. If we are trying to forge a solid team unit this season then he wouldn't even be on my radar!

At the Q+A is was at a few weeks back , to be fair he didn't mention his name but more or less said it . It stemmed from when he was dropped at Arsenal away and then spat the dummy out went to the press and revealed moggas team and plans for the match there was more but was to be kept on house he said .

Would like to have him back. He did Celtic good and scored some vitel goals, but 3.5million is a bit too much.

Sorry its my opinion Skippy and Keane should NOT be in the same sentence, Keane is way beyond Offside McDonalds capabilities!
How many games did McDonald play for Australia and couldnt score?
