i love keano but i'd never do this. never. a striker that could get us loads of goals would be easier to find than a keeper of boruc's quality.

No chance. It's all a moot point anyhow, as our club, Keane's parent club and Keane himself have all put the dampeners on any speculation of his remaining here.

If he stays, great, but don't get your hopes up.

Agreed. I dont want him to go though! Hes been brilliant to watch and stuff. I personally dont understand what the problem with him is though. If hes as much as a celtic fan as he says he is why isnt he saying "it would be great to sign for celtic permanantly" or "if the clubs can do a deal then great, il be happy to stay"! I get the feeling from him that even if celtic were able to sort out a deal with tottenham he wouldnt want to come here on a permanant basis!

All of which goes along with what has been consistant with Keane. His career is certainly one of what might have been. He has alot of quality, no doubt, but a question mark also, including why Alex Ferguson decided not to sign him for Man U way back when, why Rafa didn't or couldn't accomodate his talent or why he slippeed down the pecking order at Spurs. Even still, he has played for some very decent teams along the way, including Inter, Leeds (when they were right up there) & Liverpool.

Yet everywhere he has been, for all his quality he has little in the way of silverware to show for it, just the one League Cup medal, I believe. If this was a determining or motivating factor, he could remain at Celtic and the probability is he would finish up with a fistful of winners' medals. Sadly it seems, we are a box on his playing checklist, that he can tick and move on.

Just enjoy him, and his ability, whilst he is here.
