That's a good point on global football. Given the money going into Asia and the middle east in particular it feels inevitable that the biggest clubs in those leagues will eventually want to grow to an elite global level. Given population and GDP growth in places like China, India and Nigeria, you'd like some smart businessmen would be planning to revolutionise their sets ups like England did with the Premier League. Saudis already have the money and the infrastructure and their club brands are growing fast. So you will either see rich leagues appear that will generate money for themselves and do not require global involvement (like the EPL). Or you will end up with a few elite teams in each region that will outgrow their national league and look to get involved in a global set up.

Voted no but think if there was one happening and we were invited we would have to, both because as a PLC we need to seek the most business sense options legally and national leagues would be even more looked down on as also ran competitions but if we did, 20 years down the line every achievement we have ever had domestically will be dismissed by even our own fans.

But we would need to as it seems an inevitable thing that will happen, I’m immensely proud of what we’ve done in Scotland, and don’t want that history dismissed, I want our league and country to improve but that may be a pipe dream
