There's pros and cons but his dire record in Europe and his transfer records are big stumbling books for me and are major worries.

And if it is him I actually don't want him to stick around for longer than 2 years because usually it's in his 3rd season that his teams take a nose dive.

I'd say yes just based on I think he'd do a better job than Potter, Marsch and most of the other guys linked.

Should be nowhere near transfers though and told if * want to go they'll get sold. His only job should be coaching the players and managing the matches and whoever was getting the players in for Ange continue to do that.

The guys a * and an embarrassment but he does play good enough football and does seem to improve players and get the best out of them at least for a while until the players want to move on and he doesn't want to sell them and then it all caves in.

I'd have no choice but to accept it, definately wouldn't want it. Once we lost to Hearts 4-0 we looked pretty *. We won the title because who else was there? Aberdeen? The third season we were playing okay in January until he left with a couple of loans but the first half of the season we awful and the huns remained on our tails, they then bottled it in January as per usual.

it was the second season we took a nosedive, only 82 points actually less than we got in his third. Both second and third seasons we were outscored by the huns too!!!!!!!!

I think we ran out of steam too much trying too hard to become invincible the first season and even to keep it going the second season which laster until about November? thats far too much effort to have been putting into games for so long.

Back then we barely got any time off because the European qualifiers started to early so pre season had to begin early.

Ange has been "lucky" that the European qualifiers are later, so theres a bit more free time and less games. We also didn't have the Scottish Cup final last season so finished a week earlier and then this season didn't even have any qualifiers.

It's easier to manage here now than then plus we are even richer than then and can afford a bigger squad now. Bigger squad, less games, more time off.

Personally I'm not keen on him returning. His 1st season here was amazing, one of the best Celtic teams of my lifetime. 2nd season was good too but about halfway through things started to get a bit stale and by the 3rd season we were awful to watch, endless sideways passing every game though we still were getting results. His signings too were, on the whole, not great. Plus he'd be getting linked with pretty much every English job that became available. Worse still, he'd want to go. They say never go back for a reason.

The club will be a laughing stock if we take the rat back after the way he * off and we are Glasgow Celtic for fucksake and playing in the group stages this year there must be candidates wanting the job .

    No

Being a good coach - which undoubtedly he is - is only a part of the puzzle. After a hellish year during COVID where disunity tore us apart, we've seen the power that having the whole club pulling in the same direction has had.

Rodgers instantly would split the support, the relationship with Lawwell had basically broke down in the last year too. What would McGregor & Forrest think of his exit too? 2 key players in our squad

Going back rarely works out well. He left us scrambling without a backroom staff at a key point in the season. Big no from me.

No ffs. There are loads of potentially good managers out there.
Rodgers had an excellent spell when he was here but he left so he’s had his time.

Still haven’t forgiven him so no from me.

Caveated with the fact that given how the hunt progresses he may very well end up the best candidate because if he’s up against Clarke or Lenny or a promoted Kennedy then I’d much, much, prefer it was him. Albeit he’s a snake in the grass that would be fur the watching at all times.

I don't see any real difference with the way Rodgers left and now the way Ange has left. Only difference one left in Feb & the other at end of season. Ange comes out with all the badge thumping, we never stop, etc. But his first opportunity to the EPL he's gone just like that. Not only that, Ange is also looking to raid our back-room staff as well. We need to accept 95% of our managers & players show little affiliation to our club when the EPL comes knocking. Ange well knew that he was going to Spurs weeks ago.

This is no better than when we went back to Lennon, it’s not a long term solution.

We have a bit of time to sort something, please don’t just * settle for the * that * off just before a semi final and tried to take the full coaching staff with him.

1 step forward 2 steps back kinda pish.

Better the devil you know, than the devil you dont.

The only thing I don't understand is what's changed for him? It's predominantly the same board and the same owner. If that was his genuine reason for wanting to leave, I don't really get why he wants to come back?

After Ange I don't think I'll trust any manager that comes into the club for a long time. But I will support them whoever it is, as long as they keep bringing success to our club and keep on improving it.

Yeah I’d take him back. Was a good manager that attracted some great players. Got the best out of some players too like forrest etc. he left us while there was still games left in the season which was a * move but tbh we were a good few points ahead, we were going to win anyway. Unfortunately the premier league is the best and most attractive league in the world. Managers will jump at the chance to play there. I think the board played a huge part in him leaving too by not being truthful with how they’d let him spend for the squad and Desmond and lawell making moves behind his back. The way he left us will still be sour for most though. We do need to bring in quality again and he was just that. Maybe a little set in his ways but I’m sure he could do wonders with this team and his own recruitment.
