I remember his slagging off of Starfelt in the Cup final during Ange's first season was way over the top. Ok he was having a bad game and it's fine to comment on that, but every thing he did, Walker was like "Starfelt AGAIN! Arrgghh!" Almost came across as personal.

 

Brendan rodgers, never taken any club far into the champions league never mind leicester, who have only competed once in the champions league, and not under Rodgers.

In fact he has never taken any club far in the champions league or europa league. In 10 or 11 attempts at group stages he has managed to qualify on 3 occasions, all in europa. On all of those occasions he never got past the first knock out phase, despite having reasonably favourable draws on 2 of those.

So, actually, brendan rodgers has almost zero European pedigree. Other than a run to the semis of the conference, playing opponents his budget dwarfed.

What we need to make any form of progression in Europe is a manager that is capable of getting teams punching above their weight on that stage. Brendan rodgers had barely punched his way through a wet paper bag in European terms.

 

Aye some games he come across as a bitter bitter man. Most Celtic vs Huns matches you have Crockershite then a 50/50 commentary team, when he was on it was basically like Rangers TV commentary as it was so one sided with bitchy, schnide remarks towards us.

I have it, under good authority that Celtic will make an announcement when if/when Rodgers signs.
