Eh, I've been to your city several times now. I agree it does have its rough spots, and I didnt always feel safe there. But the city still has a lot of charm. I've been to a lot of other big cities that had NO charm whatsoever, like Chicago, or Philadelphia.

Ballyfermot, there is no hope for that place.

Hattersley in manchester but the people were sound, east palo alto was definaltley the most dangerous, shootings out the front and fellas ritually doing burnouts at 4 in the morning, was the murder capital of america at one point i think.

I lived there for 6 months. I just never felt more unwelcome anywhere else in my life. It was downright depressing. The first day I was there I had a few chicago style hot dogs and drank a few beers. Spent time on Navy Pier etc. That was all fine. But when you stay and get to know the nitty gritty of the city, you realise that underneath it is not a nice place at all. That is one place I don't care to go back to. Wisconsin, maybe. Definitely not Illinois or Chicago.

I also was in Brentford, London, when we played Brentford in a friendly game a couple of years ago, also met Neil Lennon :smiley-laughing002:, weird place sort of ghetto areas on one side of the road and then 1 million pound flats on the next.

Lost count the amount of times I would be driving through Ballyfermot to training over the years and I'd think to myself 'Thank * I do not live here.'

Blanch has some bad spots as well, wouldn't feel safe walking through Corduff or Whitestown at night.

Ah everywhere has dodgy spots but as you said I just think ballyfermot turns it up a notch, its such an unbeleivable shithole and worst assaults and all on the news always seem to be in that area.

I rang a fella i seen on gumtree about fixing my ps3 and had to drop it to poppintree, he lived in one of those closed estates where theres one way in and out and it was a * dive but the people were sound sure ha

Bit dumpy but it's nowhere near a ghetto..

Hired a motor on the West Coast and by far the biggest ghetto I've been in/through, has to be Oakland. Did a wrong turn on route to San Francisco and ended up in some project and didn't have a clue where we were. 5 White's in a hired motor with map's in the back of a busy project :56:. Can laugh now but it was anything but funny:52:
Crossing the Mexican border has to be up there as a strange worst place to be stuck in, when coming back in to the States. Miles of traffic, roasting but having to keep the window's up as broke * up to all sorts walking by motor's. Ensenada for the worst smell of a place ever as well. Just * in the air..

Tallaght is a big area so it's not all a shithole. Theres Only a few bad areas that give it a bad name. I'm from one of the decent parts of Tallaght.
