    He done well, no doubt but I don't think he's up there yet. Although it's baffling how he is consistantly ignored by Brazil, no matter the manager.

    Form wise he has to be up there imo, far better than cole and evra last season, not sure about lahm as i never seen as much of him.

    I know mate. My post might of seemed a wee bit snappy but i get annoyed when people dont rate him. Its like people saying Ledley does nothing for Celtic. Busquets is the reason all the skillful players can play. The people that say Yaya Toure. Why did Barca keep Busquets and sell Yaya if he was a superior midfielder.

    Also see whoever makes a Centre mid thread please remember Keita because he is a brilliant centre midfielder maybe not the best but if he is one of the best in the world i'd say.

    Essien was miles ahead of everyone before his injuries. Him and to a lesser extent Macherano were impossible to get through. Was a shadow of himself last season though.

    If it's a midfield 3 I'd play Busquets in that role.

    Without a doubt Busquets. He is absolutely essential to the Barca team. Without him they would not have the freedom of attacking as much. He is very happy to just sit there in midfield and breaks up so many attacks. Not only that, his distribution after breaking the attack up is top class. Imo if he wasnt in the team, Xavi and Iniesta would not be as effective as they are

    Without a doubt Busquets. I would go as far as saying he would be classed by Pep as one of the irreplaceble players, alongside the likes of messi, xavi, iniesta etc. IMO there is no one currently in world football who could do the job for barca as effectively as he does.

    I would actually clasify Toure as quite an attacking player, last season he played there with barry and de jong holding. An excellent player, but not as good as busquets for me

    The fact Busquets is a total tool may change some people's opinions of him aswell

    Although he's a * and I hate him, Busquets is easily the best DMF. His passing rivals Alonso's and he is a better defender.

    And yeah Gareth Barry is a hilarious choice, poor man's Darren Fletcher, why is Fletcher not up there, he's better than Lucas, Mikel, Barry and Song.
