    Still not having it for a second!

    The entire World’s media are perplexed for a reason, it has nothing to do with over rating the guy or not seeing Brandt that often.

    I have absolutely no doubts in my mind that Leroy Sane is a better and more effective footballer than Brandt and Draxler, there’s been an issue somewhere along the line.

    By just about any metric, I still contend it is a nonsensical decision and certainly not linked to sporting reasons.

    Löw is a world cup winner thanks largely to some good fortune against Argentina but Germany doing well in an International tournament is not a great feat as they, along with Brasil, have a steep & successful tradition in football. What they have been criticized often for, however, is a lack of creativity. Moreover, it is no coincidence that Spain & Germany winning the WC coincided with Pep managing the featured club sides that made up the spine of both NTs

    Yes, Germany can still go very far in the tournament and the only time I can recall a NT failing to win due to not calling up (Or in this case playing/featuring them) was Pekerman with Messi so it doesn't mean Germany will not win due to the absence of a single player but importantly it doesn't qualify as a rationale not to include a player of Leroy's abilities. Particularly in a German squad that lacks either pace or 1v1 ability.

    I assume you mean the friendlies. Obviously I can see the point for the managers trying different players but personally I don't even watch them as the result means nothing. Sometimes a manager can try something just to confirm to himself it doesn't work.

    Sweden match with Peru...the horror..so boring and bad. We did get 0-0 but the *
    If this is the way we play we are out. But then again, when we play bad in the friend matches bad we get better in the real fight....i am not that sure...
