Precisely. And if Ukraine can be a host of EURO, don't see why Russia wouldn't host World Cup?

On the other hand, Qatar is just ridiculous.

Was looking for a link but wondered if anyone caught the interview on skysports, between Ed Chamberlin and an official from the Australian Football Authorities. Australia were competing for the 2022 World Cup and they were asking his opinion on Russia and that, they then asked the guy what he thought about Qatar winning.

They guy was quite dignified in his reply and then chamberlin asked him what he thought about moving the tournament to January or Feburary. The guy said it was a good idea as the weather in qatar wouldn`t be as warm, to which Chamberlin replied " But the Premiership will be half way through the season". The response from the Australian fa guy was " Yes and so is La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and many other leagues".

The arrogance of some people in England is unreal, maybe a dose of reality has been handed out to these people. The world doesn`t revolve around English Football.

Tragic times for football in the British Isles. England may not host a World Cup again and Scotland and the Republic of Ireland will be lucky if they ever qualify for one again. :)

How's that for a "dose of reality".

Hardly a dose of reality saying scotland will be lucky to qualify for a world cup, when it has been the case since France 1998. Fortunately we have accepted our position in football and look to improve ; where as england continues to over-estimate its own ability. South Africa this year is a prime example (on the field ) of the false position they view themselves.

If they continue to believe their own hype then they may find themselves in a similar position to which Scotland find themselves.
