would it be a option to get the celtic and rangers reserve teams into the scottish 3rd division...... it would put bums on seats and put money into the lower teams and it would give celtic and rangers the chance to blood young players rather than farming them out to our competitors.... it works in spain i think ,,,, so why not in scotland

can't see it happening to be honest
great idea though -
Its been talked about on here before it would be a great idea if it was to happen especially if they are still going to scrap the reserve league.

i think there is a rule in place here that two teams from the same club cannot compete in the spl,sfl...i think
-
Sounds like a great idea but i doubt the SPL or SFL are dynamic enough to try out ideas like that, boring * lol
-
With the reserve league folding, this is the way forward. Same for the other clubs who can afford it.
-
This is the best way forward as the reserve league is a joke. More Competitive matchs with meaningful silverware at the seasons end. I know that the team under these proposed plans could not get promoted but it would be a better competition for the reserves to be in none-the-less..
-
Our reserves could probably pump teams in the SPL tbh.

what happens if our reserve team wins the first division, which they probably could?
-
i would think that if the old firm did win promotion ... once they got to the 1st divison that would be as far as they could go..... but cup games ah would hope they'd be allowed to compete all the way ...... celtic and rangers reserves in europe after xmas lol

If we get a B team into the Third Division they'll be playing in stadiums with terracing. It might be a lot of fun to go along to a few games and be able to sing and dance around like the good old days before all seater stadia and over officious stewards. :icon_mrgreen:

It's when they start playing more attractive football than the 1st team it would become interesting.

SPL2 is a stupid enough idea..
Ditch the SPL, make it all the SFL, make two leagues, Prem and Div 1, that's it. Have 22 teams in Div 1, 20 teams in Prem. -

20 team SPL? i don't like the idea of half of our games being against the likes of Ross County and Airdrie Utd. The quality is bad enough as it is in the premier league
