With regards to Lennon putting Ledley at LB when he is so much better at CM...is it just me or is the fact that we have so many good players in our squad that Neil is simply trying to get his best 11 players on the park and keep players happy even if that means playing guys out of position, especially with the quality we have in the middle of the park.

I wouldn't. Cousins tore Wilson apart at LB in an Old Firm Game at Parkhead. I think Weiss would probably do the same.

Charlie Mulgrew has played in a lot of Aberdeen games against Rangers at left back and has done very well. I would play Mulgrew there, and we would also have the advantage of another specialist set piece taker on the field.

I see what Dr.V is saying because i have watched mulgrew against rangers a few times and he hasn't really looked like being ripped apart defensively. Yet its different in a Aberdeen-Rangers game compared to a Celtic-Rangers game. Of course if Lafferty were to play id imagine one of them would get sent off, they both have short fuses.

All in all im pretty sure this out for one month for Izzy is a smoke screen to stop him from playing international football... or at least i fecking hope it is.

Just a thought, not really sure where I stand on it myself just now but what about playing 3 at the back for the Huns game?

    -------------Forster-------------
    --Loovens-Majstorovic-Hooiveld--
    Cha--------Juarez-------Mulgrew
    -----Brown---------Ledley-------
    ------------Maloney-------------
    ------------Murphy--------------

Assuming they played 2 up front (Miller/Naismith no doubt) it would give us an extra man back there to crowd them out.

Would also give us a 5 man midfield (if we use Cha & Mulgrew as wing backs) allowing us to boss the middle of the park. We could have Ledley in CM which is his best position, we could use Mulgrew/Cha going forward while the also providing cover to the back in the wide areas without relying totally on thier defensive abilities and could play Maloney in a more central position behind the striker which I feel is better for him.

Playing Murphy up front would allow us to get Brown/Ledley and Maloney involved and I think he would cause more problems for thier CB's than Hooper or Stokes in that formation.

No, no and no again for Wilson at Left Back.

I've never seen a worse performance in a Celtic jersey than him against the Huns at left back.

Wilson is primarily a right back, can play right mid or centre mid at a push but he no longer has the pace he had that enabled him to be able to cover at left back.

From what little i have seen of the Hun, all there forward play comes through Weiss or Davis, I beleive our midfield can hold Davis, genuinley worried that with on establish / worthwhile left back with lots of pace then Weiss could be our biggest problem...Wilson has some pace but has also had a horendous OF not that long back....one option is a sweeper type role where they have a focus on covering the left side....

I am worried about our full backs against Rangers because I think Walter Smith will target them if it's Cha and Ledley.Cha is fantastic going forward but not a very good defender in my opinion.Ledley is NOT a left back and should not be played there.I wish Neil Lennon had played Wilson or my preference Twardzik at left back against Hamilton and kept Ledley in midfield.I hope Neil Lennon picks the team that plays against Dundee United with Rangers in mind.
