That's fair enough , I agree with pretty much all of what you say.. The only thing I'd argue is that the previous season came across to me as complacency setting in from many people involved and once that happens it's difficult to reverse it , and backing WGS and the players after that would also have been keeping the faith when it might not have been warranted.. I felt one of Strachans problems was praising his players for giving the fans a fantastic game of football , and that he couldn't ask any more from them when we'd draw 1-1 at tynecastle after being outplayed for much of the game.. He made them believe they were proper players which is good for the ego but was kind of patronising to fans who were watching the games.. I was quite happy to hear TM say the players weren't good enough because it was my own thinking but it just emphasis that when te chips are down you need to try your best to keep everyone pulling in the same direction... Something Strachan was very good at despite the odd spat with a fan or player..

The best offer I'd be willing to make Tony Mowbray just now(and I suspect it's about the best he'd get on here) is that I'd give him till the end of the season.

There's very little to be lost by giving him the rest of the season in all honesty. The problem I'm having is that his selections are getting stranger and stranger as time is going on. At a time when he should be trying to get a settled team on the pitch, and trying to find out who 6,7 or 8 of his starting 11 for next season will be, he has Boruc and Hinkel sitting on the bench and he has Paul McGowan in the team! *!?

That's just as inexcusable as it is confusing. His treatment of Marc Crosas is also exceptionally poor. Sorry I'm stopping now before I rant on any more........ :52:

Remember guys it is going to be real difficult trying to get a good new manager at this time of the season as teams are usually fighting for either a trophy of some sort, fighting for a European place or fighting relegation.

Yep don't get me wrong that annoyed me about strachan too but some people just somehow managed to use that as an excuse to want him out witch was just stupid.

As you say it's only now we realise that he was saying stuff like that for the right reasons.
