Voted yes but can only see him being a squad player.

Can't ever see him scoring enough goals to displace Griffiths.

To be fair there should be an undecided/still on the fence option :50:

If he hit the ground running like Guidetti did there would be of course no complaints, he and Guidetti are similar in that they won't be regular goal scorers they will score in bursts. But Guidetti was slow as a weak in the jail, g ready and had a poor attitude. Ciftci is a far more capable player but whether he can make the step up in Europe remains to be seen.

He's pish I'd have Daryl Murphy over him ,shows how good lawwell is at lowering people's expectations of what a celtic striker should be. I would love to know what sort of magic fairy dust diela is gonna sprinkle on him that's gonna turn him from a bang average dundee utd player to top of the range striker we need for * over teams across europe

cant see him coming good if he plays lone striker

From the games I have seen him play for us this season, its a no. He is unfit and slow as *. much prefer Grifiths speed and selfless behaviour in harassing the opposition defence.
Cifti relies on his physique and nasty streak to bully his way thru games. don't think he will make it.

He relies on skill more than anything, when he gets a run of games people will say that. He has a vicious streak and can bully people but he is a very skilfull player, it's an unusual style for being such a flair player.

Initial signs have not been good, but we'll need to give the guy time. He's barely kicked a ball for us to be worrying that he'll never make it.

I'll judge him after he's had enough games to get himself among the goals.

Type of striker we need though and have needed for a while, very useful but needs to work on his finishing. Diego Costa has done well for being that type of player.

I don't think Ciftci would score 27 goals in the championship like Murphy, you are right. He's probably not better.:56:

Aye but Murphy wasn't capable of scoring that many in the SPFL.

He was a shocking player up here, his Lionel Murphy goal aside :56:

Aye I know mate, post was a bit tongue in cheek:56:

He was rotten for us. How he scored that many last season I will never know.

I was watching Ipswich last season, was thinking that big * up front is something Celtic could be doing with, up front himself controlling everything and bullying *. Then he scored, the camera zoomed in and it was Murphy with his 10th in 11 games or something like that and I was so confused :56:

Murphy is 32 and last season was the first time he's ever hit 20 plus goals in a season. Would take Ciftci over Murphy any day of the week, Daryl is pish scored 3 goals in 3 seasons in SPL :smiley-laughing002: says it all.

we can swiftly move past the fact that he spent 2 of thoes 3 seasons elsewhere because Murphy was pish I have seen absolutely nothing to suggest that cifti possess anything Murphy didn't .he may well get more games and get the chance score a few as Griffiths is the only striker ahead of him (a situation were Murphy may well have flourished).I may well be wrong and cifti could score 40 goals this year and terrorize our Europa league opponents ,just can See it myself

He proved himself with Utd as far as I'm concerned. He is a class act who will come good for Celtic.

He's the only striker I've seen give Denayer and Van Dijk a right hard game, in Scottish football anyway. Cifti was everywhere and caused us lots of bother in the 2-1 loss at tannadice that day. I think he will be a good signing for us.
