    I know but do you really think it was just to play in the EPL! The money the get in wages is a huge factor in them wanting to leave

    No Lawwell will gut the team every 2 seasons and not take a chance on players on a decent wage.

    Your right, but was just wanting to hear peoples views on this. I'm not getting to carried away, because you can never look to far ahead. Things could go wrong for him next year.

    And if things do go wrong for Deila this will be the the most likely reason

    only if we can persuade a billionaire like ''Whyte'', Ashley or King onto the Celtic board.

    the zombies don't realise how lucky they are,
    they're onto their 3rd billionaire in the same 3 years they've been alive. :56::56:

    I'll be happy if we make it through the group stages of the CL. To me, that's a huge achievement.

    So will every Celtic fan, and your right. It is a huge achievement, but don't you think we should have built on the back of doing it the last 3 times?

    The Champions League -> No
    Europa League -> Good chances.

    3rd in CL group stages, and then to final in EL.

    Dnipro are in the Europa final this year so it's not out of the question. A really tall ask though.

    I'd like to be in a position to reach the Europa League final with a bit of luck within the next decade. You never know how the landscape's going to change during that time though.

    I think we can have a good enough team to do it in 5 years time. Whether we actually do it is another thing.

    NO.
    It would take about 5 years of team building and hard work....he will leave before then.
    We also do not have the money to build a team that good.

    The question should really be 'Will we ever win the Europa League under Ronny Deila?'. The Champions League is way out of our reach and, apart from the money it generates, is as well being forgotten about.

    No, I don't think we'll win the Europa League under Ronny Deila. Better managers than him have had more resources than he's had and they couldn't win it(Martin O'Neill came very close though).

    Forget about the Champions League apart from the money it generates? Seriously?

    What's wrong with that?

    We will never get near the CL again.

    Everything is wrong with that. The Champions League is the Holy Grail for Celtic, our entire goal is to build a team capable of competing with the best in Europe.

    As fans it is what we look forward to not the 0's it adds to the bank balance.
