He should always be looking to improve and he does. He has been busting his * for us since day one. Any player at this particular time who should be immune from these questions is Leigh Griffiths.

If by talking *, you mean pointing out genuine weaknesses in a player's game, then you've hit the nail on the head. You just can't help but trying to slag Hooper off, talking an absolute power of * in the process.

Murphy is an intelligent poster, talks a load a * in the Ronny thread but a good poster, T Bag I think the time zones must be getting to, not sure if he even watches Celtic.

Might be a cliche but if he was a foreign signing everycunt would be wetting themselves over him...

I think people still see him as a wee 'racist' ned fae Hibs, which is unkind at best.

When he first signed people doubted that he'd score consistently in Scotland... He's scored consistently in Scotland. Then they doubted that he could score in Europe... He's scored 4 goals in 4 starts in Europe... They doubted his attitude... His attitude has been exemplary on the park since signing for Celtic.

Except that time he was signing kinda racist songs and had to go up to court a couple of weeks ago, I take it? :icon_mrgreen:

Since that incident, his attitude on and off the pitch is what I want from every player.

No one is happier than me with Griffiths' attitude and progress and I'm certainly hopeful he can become a striker good enough to lead our line in the CL but playing devil's advocate here, I have a question:

Who would be happy going into a CL group stage campaign with Griffiths as he is now as our main striker?

To be clear, I think he'll be significantly better this time next year (especial with the EL experience), I was just curious about this hypothetical question.

I would be confident he could score at any level.

The same could be said for any player in our team, past or present.

Griff scores goals. They are not all fantastic wonder goals but he gets in great positions.

I am confident Griff will only get better.

I'd be happy enough with Griffits as our main striker going into next years qualifiers. I wouldn't be happy with Griffiths as our only viable striker though.

    This.

I want to see Griff up top with someone, a target man ideally.

I don't mean the qualifiers, he's already proved good enough for that! I mean the group stages. Would you be happy with Griffiths as he is currently as our striker against Europe's top teams?

At home I'd be happy with that. Not away from home though.
