Why hasn't Koki been tested out earlier?

Why just because Koki played well theres talk of that means that McGeady can get to *?

It's called a team troops, Celtic can never have enough good players.

As for the question on the original post, he simply was not ready. He needed a lot of time to build up his body to deal with the physical nature of our game and I was delighted he showed good strength today. He was also hampered because he missed pre-season, which really does take a lot out of the players.

I've been * off with Strachan for a lot of reasons but his management of Koki is not one of them.

Their entire team outmuscled ours in August, not just Cousin.

its all about timing m8,,strachans seen koki dying to get out the traps and waited and waited untill the time is right,,timing perfect ,he came out the traps and ran all day ,left side ,right side through the middle and to get a great goal in to the bargan was a great sight for a great debut,

timing is everything ,strachan got it right today

If Strachan planned it like this, and wasn't simply forced due to injuries, then hats off to him. If he doesn't play Mizuno on Ibrox, he's mad.

Not neccesarily, Falkirk are a far different prospect than Rangers at Ibrox

Falkirk like to play a nice open game of football .

    Rangers like to kick people.

I completely disagree, I don't think Mizuno should play at Ibrox.

We were muscled out of the match in August, I think the wee man will go for a Caldwell Brown Robson Hartley midfield, just to stop them bullying us like they would if we played Mizuno.

A draw is the max we would get with that midfield. I'm for this midfield, no matter how frail it might look:Brown(DM), Maloney(LM), Nakamura(AM), Mizuno(RM). I think Robson won't be able to play, he's got a groin injury. And Caldwell in the midfield-a no starter.

Maloney Brown Nakamura and Mizuno would be a disaster, in my opinion. I honestly think they'd get bullied out of the game within 10 minutes, we'd never get the ball to the strikers.

I'm sorry but I honestly think that would be a disaster, after Strachan's rant about them out-muscling us after the last OF game, I think he'll be leaning towards my suggested midfield.

Maloney's injured and that's far too frail.

    I'd go for

    Brown Hartley Crosas Naka

He had an injury but more importantly he needed a lot of reserve games before he started to even look good there. He apparently struggled playing as an out and out right winger and he was moved in and improved a lot. The timing is correct IMO. At first McCourt looked much more likely to make it than Koki but the last couple of months Koki has started to play.

The most defensive midfield I'd agree on would be Robson-Brown-Hartley in a 4-3-3. But since Robson might not be there, we have to play something similar to today. And we don't know how to defend. We are an attacking team.

Devlin, an OF match isn't a brilliant time to return from injury, that's why I think Strachan will stick Caldwell in there and bring on Loovens.

If Robson is fit, he should be in there too.

We played an attacking team in August and we know what happened there. It's alright for Falkirk, not for Rangers.

If all are fit, I'd go for 5 in midfield anyway at Greyskull.

    ...................Hartley

.....Naka....Brown..Robson..Mizuno/Samaras (not sure who I'd pick)

We need Caldwell and McManus at the back.

That was due to Wilson's and Boruc's howlers. I'd make sure neither of them is allowed into bars a couple of nights before the OF. Mizuno is too fast for Rangers, I'm sure of that.

That's not true, it was not down to two people we lost that game. They outmuscled our whole team, we were physically dominated from start to finish. Honestly, Strachan will veer towards the midfield others have mentioned, yours is just too frail.

We'd have gotten at least a draw back then if Wilson hadn't been drunk, coupled with Boruc. If Strachan had a full midfield to choose from, then you might be right, but now, he cannot pack a fully grafting midfield. And if Mizuno held on in today's match, where tackles were flying, he'll do well on Saturday. I'm sure of it.
