It's the first game of the season. It was over at half-time. We're playing Arsenal on Tuesday and we need people as fit and injury free as possible.

i agree we lost it when loovens went off , because we then lost donatis passing in the centre. it took brown 10 mins to get in the game but we never came close to reaching the same level as the first half. what i did notice is that when brown came on he was making the runs into the area the mcgeady and maloney were in the first half, this forced mcgeady and maloney to stay wide and their interchanging positions became far less fluid. it seemed to me that our 3 most creative players werelimiting their own creativity. hopefully this will change as the season goes on and they all learn to mix it up a bit better

if we went all out and won 5-0 and got absoluetly knackered at the end of the game whilst arsenal walk the full 90 mins against evertone it wouldnt have set us up well for tuesay would it?and we dont always sit back after a few the laat time we went a good few goals up the game ended 7-0 against st mirren

ok .. after 1 game of the season ( which we won btw ) we have 3 points, and therefore joint top with all other teams who won. what if we had the same goal difference score and huns were still top, are you going to start crying that we should be top because C is before R in the alphabet?

get a * grip mate. first game into the season, which was a cracking win, and somebody would complain about the performance and how we arent league leaders :97:

Arsenal did not let up at 3 goals. They went on to score 6.

    Difference in mentality ?

its a mental thing once you are 3 up you dont have to push simple as that

    So.

Arsenal score 6. At one stage they are 3 up.

    I don't see your point.

You are correct. You don't need to push.

But if you are quality you do. You entertain. You score goals.

    Big Jock??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

He would have been real happy with 3.........not.:54:

i think you must be the only person to think this way..

the big difference between arsenal and us, is that we're doing this for pride, money, and need it. arsenal are doing it to win the CL, and we're just a hurdle for them

i suppose you wanted all our key players to get injured in the aberdeen game and then field a massivley in-experianced, young, reserve team? ....

I think the feeling is that if we hadnt have had a big sorry massive game on tuesday we maybe would have scored 5 or 6 ...Arsenal pushing on and scoring 6 may have a negative effect for them as players may tire sooner due to them playing full speed for 90 mins ...I agree we let our foot off the gas in the 2nd half but i feel the fans would have been entertained enough by the final whistle :celt_2:.....

We beat Aberdeen 3-1 that will do me. To suggest we should have keeped pushing knowing that Rangers were going to win 4-1 the next day is ludicrous. Brown got some more game time as did all 4 of our strikers, we were never going to keep up the first half display with that in mind.

If you're asking should we have scored more then yes we should have but there was nothing wrong with the tactics, just the finishing when the chances were created.
