Dad took me early 60's when Jimmy McGrory was manager. Used to go into the Enclosure, which was in front of the stand - what is now the main stand. Got me down the front and sat with the other wee bhoys on the wall with feet on the ash track. Saturdays were League games and then in mid 60's, midweek was European nights - usually in The Jungle. European Cup 1/4 final 2nd leg vs Vojvodina with Caesar scoring in the 90th minute to put us into the semi's. Place went MENTAL ! Then THE best footballing Team left in the Tournament and favourites to go through - Dukla Prague. 1-1 at half time and then 2 goals from Willie Wallace making his European debut gave us 3-1 on the night, enough with 0-0 in the 2nd leg in Prague to put us into the final....and the rest is history. Did all this happen almost 50 years ago? Time flies when you're having fun.

My three big cousins (who are like brothers to me) took me to my first game when I was about 4 and I was hooked. Supporting anyone else would be a dramatic change in how I go about my life and how I approach it I truely believe that.

Its been said before by others and probably most famously by Billy Connolly but friends, girlfriends, schools, jobs and houses come and go through life but Celtic have been my one constant.

Ah yes, a great goalscorer and fine man. Once when I was at a game we were up against the Celtic dugout and the only thing separating me and Mr McGrory was the perspex side of the dugout. He even talked to me during the game. As I was leaning forward to get a better view he said in a loud voice .....'Hey Son get oot the way. I cannae see the game.'.......claim to fame !

Probably just preferred the colours and the badge.I really don't remember it's been that long.

I could've supported them (went to Protestant school) but for some reason went for Celtic.

I think because i didn't grow up in Glasgow and my mum let me support who i wanted.
So i chose Celtic as i liked watching them. I know for a fact if i grew up in Glasgow i'd
be one of them as my family where all rangers fans.

I can't actually remember choosing, but I was going to games from I was 5 and always remember getting the new strips as a kid as far back as I remember I just supported Celtic, never really a decision lol. Suppose I've my da to thank for that.

My team has always been Rosenborg, it's even my local team! (Grew up just... say... 3 stone throws away from the stadium Lerkendal.) So when Harald Brattbakk and then Vidar Riseth moved over to Glasgow, Celtic became more than just "a club I know of, and know is big".

The clincher was when a Spanish friend of mine and I went down to Paris in 2000 during the autumn. I was studying in Stirling at the time. Celtic was playing Bordeaux away and the plane was filled with around 120 Celtic supporters, 20 random people who looked on with interest and around 3-5 huns that looked scared shitless.

I felt a little sorry for the air stewardesses on board that Ryanair flight, the Celtic supporters were singing, stamping their feet on the floor and made the whole flight for my Spanish friend and me "a jolly good time".

After seeing some Celtic fans push throught the Gendarmerie passport control while smoking a blunt, I was even a little more impressed... Nothing like watching a Scottish guy frown at a French police officer, and the police backs down.

Then there was the 2 hour bus drive to Paris from Beauvais. I remember getting to the bus before the fan horde. Saw the bus driver spot the horde approaching his bus, panic in his eyes, and he darted back to lock the toilet door of the bus.

First thing that happened was that one of the Celtic supporters went straight to the toilet, found it closed, and started banging the door. Singing and stomping resumed, and at the half way point towards Paris, the bus pulled over for a stop at a public restroom spot. I don't think a single one of the fans made it to the building with the toilets...

When we arrived in Paris, we departed from our new found friends, and headed off to a week of sightseeing in Paris.

But, we ran into the fans again returning to Glasgow. Flight to Dublin and Glasgow got cancelled because of a storm, and 250+ Irish and Scots were put into ex-airforce barracks loaded with cheap French wine... it was a fun party!

So that did it for me, I was a bonafide Celtic fan myself, and haven't looked back and regretted at all.

Everyone as far back as I know in my family, supported/supports us..

I have my uncle to thank mainly though, he took me everywhere watching us, when my old man had really given up going as much, or couldn't afford the whole package with me in tow. My uncle was taking me to easily 10 a season including Europe or the odd friendlies..

When we weren't going up or abroad, he'd take me to all kind of games in London, Leeds at Wimbledon, Villa at Highbury, Leicester at Charlton or Burnley at Millwall. I sampled a lot on wee days out when we couldn't get up, but nothing ever came close, it wouldn't have mattered anyway, I am what I am..
