I'm a Chinese student coming to Glasgow at Aug 2013. At first 2 monthes I tried to read and understand the history of both sides. But very soon I found oldco fans are most vile group of people I've ever met. Several times when I walked at night on streets, random racial abuse launched at me, and I count 3 out 4 times were from guys with rangers top on (While I have no football colour on). Twice I was abused in taxi by Hun cabbies, and at one point I even feel physically threatened.

My first encounter with Celtic is a stadium tour, where I was received so warmly, an elder season ticket holder even bought me a souvenior at the end of that day. few days later my first game is Motherwell, and after the game I bumped into Billy Mcneill and the Caser being absolutely a gentleman and so nice to me. Thus the choice is so easy for me.

Over the course of my 2 year stay in Glasgow, I never actually had any negative experience with any Celtic fan. I'm talking about walking on streets with no Cetic colour on me. On the other hand I got more than my fair share of abuse from rangers fans, most times I didn't even show my team colour and they picked me up for my colour or some other reasons. That says a lot of things for me.

I will soon graduate and most possibly leave Glasgow. I don't really know where my next step would be, but I know for sure there's only one club I will wholeheartedly support in thee rest of my life.

There was no moment where I realised I wanted to support Celtic, it was more just realising that I am a Celtic fan and always have been.

First team I watched in the stadium vs Ahly and they beat us 5-0 I remember McDonald scoring 2-3 goals, I still have the wembley cup 09 book. I wanted to find a European team to support because the local league was halted so I decided to watch Celtic because they're the first team I've watched live in a European stadium and their fans were really nice at the stadium as well and I gradually became a fan until I started fully supporting.
