I was a season ticket holder.

I've seen pretty much every Celtic match since the late 70s.

That's great. However, he cannot defend for * so I don't think he should be our first choice left back.

It's too much of a risk to have him in defence just on the off chance he may curl in a beauty of a free kick. He'll score 2 or 3 free kicks in a season but * knows how many goals he'll cost us with his schoolboy defending.

If anyone was at Parkhead and seen him beat Boruc twice from 30 yards yet still thinks he is the worst player they have seen in a Celtic jersey they are talking complete and utter bollox.

    End of story.

Rogan was poor but he was better than Mulgrew.

Anton was part of our Centenary Team!

Mulgrew's performance V Braga was the worst I have ever seen in a Celtic jersey.

Mulgrew might go on to have 100 great games for Celtic but v Braga last week was the worst I have ever seen from anyone in a Celtic jersey.

I am not saying he is the club's worst ever player...I am saying his performance v Braga was the worst I have ever seen in a Celtic jersey.

the lad hasnt had time to settle in and lots of people on his back already , give him a chance, judge him at end of season for * sake theres so called bigger players that were * against braga aswell , so get off his back support everyone in the jersey, mulgrew has great left foot with confidence bit of backing can make the grade yet.

You never seen Bratbaak, Jackson, Berkovic, Gravesen, Scheidt, Camara, Muggleton, Riseth or Blinker play worse than that? The fact he hit our first shot on goal after 80 minutes instantly makes it a better performance than some of the * those players served up at times.

Even guys like Agathe, who was excellent for us, had worse games for us.

Well said, lets give him a chance he has just come from Aberdeen where the expectations are no where near as high and he is expected to hit the ground running against teams he never even dreamed about playing against.Just think back to last season in how much havoc he caused other teams in the spl never mind Us. I'm willing to give the lad a chance and not snipe at every thing he does do we want it to turn out like Naylor being hounded every other week, look how that affected his confidence

So lets get behind the guys lenny selects and bring Our tittle back to where it belongs

    Hail hail :celt_2::celt_2:

He just looks a little star struck at the minute. He is trying very hard to win the fans over and that can be affecting him. If we were to back him im sure he would perform well for us.

Give him a chance. Hail Hail

When talking about the lad all im hearing about is his set pieces, from a left back we NEED someone who can actually defend, I dont think Mulgrew can defend, im not judging the boy on his first few games (even though he hasn't exactly impressed) im judging him by many Aberdeen fans who I have spoken to on vaious chat forums who say he is a liabaility at left back.

We need someone like Lee Wallace who actually can defend, if we dont sign a left back we will continue to leak even more goals left right and centre.

Would be a smart move from Lenny if he does bring another left back in.. It's difficult to get guys to sign if they don't believe they'll be first choice so Mulgrew would have been sold on the move on the basis he wouldn't have much competition for the left back slot but if we were to bring in someone like Wallace then it can only benefit the first team and having two guys competing for left back would add strength in depth , but gut feeling is Mark Wilson is the back up and any money available will be spent on other areas..

I hope Lennon has realised, like the rest of us, that the LB spot has been a position in much need of investment for a good few years now.

Lyon tore us a new * up and down that side with Mulgrew playing like he had wellies on. Twardzik and Misin are the answer to left back, hopefully these fellas will get the nod for the start of the season.

Twardzik isnt the answer mate he was a disaster (hes still young though) and apparently hes a midfielder
mulgrew wasnt great either but a think he should be good back up for a new left back:celt_2:

I'd forgotten about Misun.. Could be decent cover and maybe good enough to become a first team player this season..

I don't know what games you were watching but any of the preseason games I've seen him, he's been superb. You would think he was playing against boys his own age.
