Du Wei never wasted as many balls as Mulgrew did.

We also lost 3-0 v Braga and only 2-1 v Clyde...and I am sure Du Wei was subbed at HT.

Just an opinion on what I saw with my own eyes. I can't recall any Celtic player wasting that much possession.

I never rated Braga and still don't.

Du Wei was unlucky in as much as he got pulled into a Celtic side in the middle of winter and was clearly not match fit. He'd also no experience of Scottish/British football. What's Mulgrew's excuse?

Braga are light years ahead of clyde ffs.

Mulgrew is into a team consisting of several new players. He didnt cost us 3 goals!!

I am not having my dig at Mulgrew because of his defending. Most people know he is a poor defender. I am criticising his use (or mis-use) of the ball. His distribution is what he was signed for...and it was his distribution that was woeful, dreadful...worst I have ever seen in a Celtic jersey.

So what did we sign him for?

Also would you not say his distribution (esp from dead balls) is his strong suit?

I would call dead balls distribution. I would class that as general play. His dead ball play is excellent.

I've never seen lennon state thats why he was signed (distribution)

Yes he was so what does that tell you about his level of performance? Subbed at HT against a Scottish First Division side. I think that's worse than Mulgrew's performance against a team in the Champions League.

It makes it all the worse that Mulgrew played the full 90...because he had aother half to redeem himself and in fact only got worse.

The ball was at Charlie's feet...he gave it away time and again...if he was playing a reserve game v Buckie Thistle I'd say the same - it was the worst I have ever seen in a Celtic jersey.
