The words of the song faithful through and through means nothing to "So Called" Celtic supporters these days

faithful through and through does nae mean we have to be deluded into thinking * players are magically world class.

when i go to the park i support the team and the players no matter what but in the pub or in the privacy of my own mind, if i want to slag off mulgrew because he's *, that doesn't mean i'm not faithful through and through. i'm faithful to the club and want it to have the success it deserves and at the moment that doesn't look possible with the likes of mulgrew. i hope the lad comes good and turns into the next ashley cole. i hope sammy comes good and turns into the next ibra. all the support in the world for them won't make that happen, i'm afraid. hail hail

My biggest worry is he suffers the same treatment as Naylor and Camara before him, the crowd has the ability to destroy their 'whipping boys' fairly or otherwise.

before we start ripping the support, we haven't had a proper LB since jackie and he was a RB tbf.

i think he was signed as back up, no doubt, but he does have a mean left foot, he vbe ok to throw on, on the left wing with rass up front when we are chasing a goal

He will be fine for the SPL, he was getting owned yesterday by Walcott but if you're honest there's not many LB's out there who wouldn't struggle with Walcott. He needs time, I think he'll come good as we have superb coaching staff.

All I can say is that I wish Papac was as bad as Mulgrew.

Lennon has already stated he wants to sign another l/b but so do most teams and good ones are hard to find and are generally outwith our price range and until he does we have to hope mullgrew will improve on his poor early season form once we have a settled line up or possibly move ledley to l/b until we get someone in.

Unlike YOU im not judging him on a couple of pre-season games, im judging him on what i saw the whole of last season.

Basically a big honest guy who has a magnificent delivery but is very suspect at defending!!!

Did you not see the goals he set up against us last season???

Very true, saw him play centre Mid a few time for the Scots under 21 team and looked pretty decent.

Spot on this game has a lot to do with self confidence, and we the Celtic family or a part of it, surly can destroy that confidence just by our initial negative reviews and negative band wagon jumpers. What happened to give a player the benefit of the doubt until proven firmly otherwise at which point the coaching staff will have taken action for the betterment of the team. The coaching staff live with these players day in and day out.
Mulgrew has not been as bad as some have making it out to be for whatever reason.
    Time will tell

Mulgrew's performance v Braga was the worst I have ever seen from anyone in a Celtic jersey. I am not kidding! I can't recall seeing a player give the ball away so much or just shank it into the stand. He was also struggling to keep in some basic passes to him...one pass to him (from Juarez) which only required a slight stretch went out and he gave away another throw...I saw Juarez look at him as if to say "Is this a wind up?...Are you for real?"

Mulgrew v Braga goes down as worst I have ever seen...it was so bad I felt my old father could have had a better game and he's almost 80 years old.

Then v Lyon he came on and delivered a great ball for Sammi to score...that I guess is the reason Lenny signed him...to take a decent free kick. So we are back to square one - we need a left back and urgently!

Hes got a ballocks footballing mind i've noticed and always gets caught on the wrong side of his man. Every pass looks like its a struggle to complete, hope he gets it together but we defo need another Left Back.

Not a left-back in million years. He could be useful as LM, especially his cracking left foot. But sadly I can't see us signing LB, Lennon will have Mulgrew on team sheet every week, which I find quite worrying. And our back-ups are scary - Twardzik, Mišun and O'Dea.

Hopefully we finally do something about this during this window, but I can't see it happening.
