Yeah i know how he plays, still very much doubt that he's good enough but I'm here to be proved wrong. Doubt Shaun and Aiden will get 30+ and I'm still waiting on the 1st from the guy who cost a Fortune...

Keep the faith though, its only my opinion, a bit premature maybe but still valid :icon_mrgreen: :shamrock:

Its early days yet one league game played he needs time more than anything same as any other player and lets be honest its not his fault what we paid for him and i believe we paid it because mowbray likes him and sees something in him that he can work with . If we look at nguemo he has setted in quicker but its not as if we knew much but we trusted the managers judgement so lets try the same with fortune give him a chance

i think they will with the amount of time they spend in and around the box they can get 15 goals each especially as they both seem to get quite a bit of freedom to drift. just my opinion right enough.

The reason he was bought was to be a team player and to create space and goals for others in the side. That's what Mowbray and Grant both told us.

His pass to Skippy tonight in their penalty box made you think 'diddy' instantly but hopefully it was a one off.

This guy has had a few games to settle in and he is being dragged through the coals , yet Donati has had chance after chance,I thought Donati was out of his depth, big time.

The man from what i have seen is poor for 3.8 million pounds. It took Samaras, who is also very poor, about 5 minutes to score on his debut. Fortune, at 3.8 million, goalscorer or not, should be scoring goals against some of these diddy teams we have played. Even then, the man can't pass a ball at times. He's probably better than Hesselink, and i'm sure he will contribute to alot this season, but 3.8 million? I don't think so.

lets give the man a chance. he knows fine well the pressure he is under now to get up and get going. with every passing minute on that pitch without doing sumthen right, and hearing the crowds reaction will only send him in the wrong direction. he knows he is doing sumthen wrong, must be nothing worse than hawf a stadium shouting for yer heed after a mistake! abit more encouragement and positivity will do him alot of good!

Yeah after 3.5 games he is a total nightmare. * sakes back off and give the guy a chance. Mowbray's already told you he's no gonna be a goalscorer but that doesn't mean he's not going to be an important part of our team this year.

Why don't you give a guy 3 months instead of 3 matches to make an impression???? :31:

The problem is arsenal can make most teams- look poor and most players look bad so not the best of games to judge the guy on.
Having said that last night when he played there was a few times i thought...what a * donkey.
To be fair i dont think we will see what kind of player he is untill next year or might take him till next season.
Cant be easy in a strange city in a hotel away from friends and family and 60,000 nutters booing any mistakes.
henkil and brown took a year to come good for different reasons and naylor took a year to turn bad so it seems about the right time scale.
But for me he dont look a 4 million player but then again these days 4 million gets you very very little.

I totally understand why people are feeling a bit underwhelmed by what they've seen from Fortune so far. To be honest I'm underwhelmed too! I just think it's totally out of order to condemn the guy after 3.5 matches. If it comes December and he's scored 3 goals then yes criticise. I think we should be supporting him for the moment, some folk seem to have given up on him already and I don't like or agree with that.

give him time. He is meant to be a quality linking striker who will set up loads but maybe only score about 12-15.

i can't understand why anyone is moaning............ every game Fortune has played in he's been stuck out on the wing for the majority of the time. He's got the best touch out of all the strikers, he looks like he's the strongest and prob the tallest. Why hasn't Mogga got him camped out at the penalty spot? .......... last night McGeady and Maloney got into good positions down the wing and instead of pinging the ball in danger area they tried to take everyone on because fortune was also out on the wing.........sort it out!!!!

i have no doubt that if Fortune was stuck in the box like big VGH he will score a barrel load.

Don't think that's anything to do with Mowbray mate. Don't think Fortune has any positional sense, as a striker and always pulls wide. Does OK when he has space on the flanks, but when he comes inside his touch lets him down. Seems to panic when put under pressure. Think he needs to get used to the way the team plays, then we'll see the best of him... Hope so anyway!:87:

He's only had 2 games and I for one will give him time but ive got to say, my heart sank last night when I thought about him putting in these type of performances throughout the season.
