There was only 1 celtic player in the box ( mcdonald ) and even if it had reached mcdonald he would have * it up. Mcdonald couldn't even control the ball withoot it going out for a goal kick.

    Pretty unimpressed by him.

Probably a confidence player - hope he doesn't read the forums.

What did Samaras or Maloney contribute tonight or Skippy when he came on?

    * sake, give the guy a chance, he's still adjusting and will come good.

He's fast becoming an easy scapegoat.

unfortunately that would me 2 of are 4 strikers are confidence players. I actually thinking he's still trying to adjust, some take longer than others.

Exactly. Hes only played a few games for us and because he comes on against ARSENAL when we are 2-0 and plays as average as the rest of the team ' he is a waste of money ' :31:

People need to lay off for now, Im not saying he is a great player, but its terrible he hasnt got the backing of the fans, and everyones on his back after 4 competitive matches, its unbelievable.

If your gonna quote me then at least make fcukin sense :50:

All I'm saying is there is no indication to me that the £3.8m spent will turn out to be worth it. You may have faith that he will come good but as of yet there is little evidence that this transfer is successful.

I'm prepared to give him time to adjust but so far I've not seen one single thing from him that justifies a £1M price tag, let alone 4! My problem with him is people defending him say things like he creates goals for the midfielders and he holds the ball up well but I've not seen any of that from him so far either. He seems to spend all his time out on the wing doing nothing. But as I said, I'm prepared to give him a little longer.

He's not played 3 full competitive matches from start to finish, no wonder there has been no indication of him being a good player which he is.

    * thread and i supose now he is the man the fans have singled out to slag at any chance ,see if the fans gave him a bit of support instead off jumping on him at every turn he might just settle that bit quicker and play his game ,do you thing he is not desperate to score for Celtic ?.

fortune plays like the black kenny miller, too eager to impress

mind you, Larsson didnae have the best o starts either. Am no gonna judge him after 4 games. Samaras needs to get himself in the gym and watch how henke used to heid the baw cos in the air he's a non entity, he could be a lot better than what he is i feel

If your gonna pick my post out of all the others to comment on then at least make the effort to put your point across in a way that I can understand. Its like mumbling and I hate trying to decipher it. :50:

Fortune hasn't shown anything to suggest that he will turn out to be worth the investment yet and you admit that.

He may well do it in the future and I hope he does but as of yet we await the day.

So far he's been a flop and our big signing hasn't done what we needed of him and help us into the group stages. Surely thats the reason he was purchased for that price?

i far as im aware he was bought because TM rates him and that was his price.

dont think he was bought specificly to help us get to the group stages.

and watching him play from the start against aberdeen i think that by drifting to the wings, pulling the centre back who is supposed to be making him out with him creates space in the box for our two wide players to run into to score goals. you can see this by the amount of times mcgeady and maloney got in there one of which mcgeady scored from. as for his scoring, well if he get 10, for arguements sake, and mcgeady and maloney get 30+ between them, which i think they will, i would consider fortune a relative sucess.
so everyone get off the big guys back and give him a chance!

Lets all hope that after he scores a few goals, he settles in better and gets with the pace and physical side of Scottish Fitba.

Its only been a few games, some players need some time to settle in. I hope he comes good.
