He scored two very neat goals not toe bashes as well! not only that but when he has to drift wide and collect the ball/run onto the end of a pass he can hold it up and look comfortable with it trying to create space crossing opportunities.

I'm liking what we're seeing so far and I'm sure as he settles into the team more and adapts to his teammates and our style of play under Mowbary the goals will come.

If Fortunee stayed away from the wings more and played 12 yards out like he should he would score a barrow load ,personally i hate seen centre forwards out there ,,Henrik could do it but he is to the exception.

What? He's nothing like Vennegoor. Nothing at all.

The big guy was great today. Took his goals well and could have had 2 more. in 5 competitive games, that's him set up 2, scored 2 and been involved in the build up of one more, all of them fairly crucial.

And since he's came in, McGeady and Maloney have both scored 2 in as many League games. He's doing his job very very well.

I agree with every point you have made.:50:

Hopefully the 2 goals today has built up his confidence and he will shove all of his critics words down their throats. ( you know who you are:97:.)

I'm not too sure but he still needs to hone in his skills. Yes, he scored two goals, yes they were nice, but Christ when you miss sitters like he did yesterday -- I'm not convinced.

If we were against Arsenal or another big opponent we would be tearing him apart right now.:54::shamrock:

First he's slated for not scoring, then he scores two goals, but people still jump on his back. What the *!?

That's Celtic fans for you mate, you can score as many goals as you like but you'll never be fully accepted.

What I find funny is that Skippy misses more chances than Fortune yet no-one mentions him.

But Skippy scores more, that's how he is not mentioned in negative context.

You see, you are 100% spot on. Even a player like Fortun'e who doesn't spend much time in front of goal and doesn't score often can be slated for not scoring.

As for wee Oz striker, he's our best striker! Sadly. First touch is just @%!$#%. He is natural goalscorer, that's why he's the best striker in our team. Again, sadly.

People overlook Skippy's poor play or mention it very rarely because he's Skippy. Had a good season, had some great games and he's suddenly protected by our fans.

It's hard for new guy to fit in and be accepted if he doesn't bang dozens of goals in first matches or if he doesn't produce great play in first matches.

Well Skippy is not protected by me. I've not been happy with his play for months now. And i'm talking way back to before the SPL split last season. He needs to pull his finger out and get back to his best and quick before the fans do start to turn on him.
