I like Roy Hodgson ,he has been about and has done well wherever he has been but the job he is now doing at Fulham is fantastic ,i actually wanted Celtic to go for him after O'Neil left.

Apart from when he parted company with Blackburn after leaving them in the relegation zone.. It's very rare to find a manager who's gettable and doesn't have a black mark to their name but managers threads are often about who's currently hot and who's not , hence the lack of John Hughes name this time round..

What about Co Adriaanse? We always seem to get linked with him when looking for new managers and he has a good record especially with the dutch side Willem. Not sure if he is contracted to anyone at the moment and if Mowbray goes then it would be worth bringing him in for the remaining games of the season although he likes to play attacking football which thanks to Mowbray, scares me lol

I think looking at those in the English Premiership are going to cost a mint, and after having their fingers burned with TM, I doubt the board will be looking at huge compensation packages. This also goes for the likes of Hughes, who will expect significant funds, not to mention the sort of wages he'd be used to may make him prohibitive. Roy Keane is in the same bracket as Lambert etc, as they need more experience. Trap or Hitzfeld are at an age where they may prefer international football, without the day to day pressures of club football.

Does anyone have an opinion on Solbakken of FC Copenhagen?

I don't know a thing about him but I would say that if people agree the problem is we are too much of a soft touch and we don't have enough Scottish/Britishness in the team that knows what it means to pull on the hoops then maybe we need to stick to someone who knows that market.. Mark Hughes would be the obvious choice for me if it came down to replacing the manager right now..

Ive just read that he had a heart attack at a training session and actually pronounced dead at the scene. He was revived 12 minutes later. He now has a pacemaker.

I dont think the Celtic job is for him especially with guys like Braafheid, Naylor and big Sammy in the team :50:

Though I must say his managerial record looks very appealing

Solbakken heart attack was nearly 10 years ago and has gone on with lots of success since. Again, I don't think its a lack of Britishness at stake here. I mean, when we played Copenhagen in the Champions League they gave us a torrid time, and even managed a win against Man U from memory.

Could we pry him away from Copenhagen though, that would be the question.
