    yes totally agree

Keane hasn't exactly proved himself a competent manager.

People are even mentioning David O'Leary cos he's Irish.... the guy is a notorious * and club-wrecker, he's just the irish Graeme Souness.

Slightly off topic.. Did anyone see John Hartson on SSN last night commenting about the West Ham situation with Zola.. (Hartson is looking lean and back to his healthiest by the way).. He was saying that Zola should keep his job untill the end of the season , but fears they will struggle to stay up and that one of the main problems is meddling from the chairman.. Hartson was saying that if anything like that happenned under managers that he'd worked for, (I think he meant O'Neil specifically) that they'd have been straight into the boardroom to have it out with the chairman and tell him to keep out of footballing matters..

We do need a hard nosed manager but slightly worrying to me is that the opportunity is there to go for Mark Hughes right now (As far as I know he's not under any ongoing contract with Man City) , and if he was on the radar then I don't think Lenny would have been giving the job untill the end of the season.. Im sure he'd have been given one game at a time on a temporary basis while talks with potential candidates start as soon as this week.. It could only be beneficial to get a new guy in as soon as possible but the more I think about it , the more I think Lenny has a very realistic chance of being our manager for the opening game of next season.. I think he'll do well in the remaining games..

I tend to agree, I can't see a EP manager coming to the SP considering the financial restraints that will be put on them when it comes to buying quality players. Add to that the dire current economic position Scottish football as a whole is under at the moment. I think Billy Davies is a good shout. I wouldn't turn up my nose at Levein either.....both are good motivators, Davis by all accounts has great man management qualities.

It's kinda strange saying this but the role of Celtic manager will appeal to more managers now that it would have after WGS departure. Managers would have seen the job then as a no win situation....The previous manager had won titles and did reasonably well in Europe. Now prospective managers will see us as a team who can only go forward, and getting us back on top and keeping us there for two or three seasons will enhance their CV's which for most managers is what it's all about.

Great at sevilla but apparently had real problems with his english and trying to get points across at spurs. i dont know if any1 else noticed but when he was in charge at spurs the players always seemed to be in the papers for bin out on the lash! def wouldnt go ther, far too big a gamble as spl and la liga is like chalk and cheese in terms of footballing style

I really hope Lennon turns out to be a great manager and I think he may well have the attributes you need but I'm concerned at his lack of experience. In saying that Kanny Dalglish and Graeme Souness did ok in their first managerial roles.

This is a crossroads for the club after the disaster Mowbray has been. We can still attract a pretty big name I'm sure, if Desmond digs into his pockets and makes cash available. I truly beleive this is the key to how big a name we can attract.

I also feel that we don't want to attract a big name for the sake of it as we could end up apointing someone with a great record who's now past it.

Chick Young believes a Celtic management dream team of Sven Goran Eriksson and Henrik Larsson could be winging their way to the east end of Glasgow. What do Celtic fans make of that one?

On BBC Commentary, i would welcome that lol, doubt it though, id love to have them 2, mjjably, lennon all the club doing something
