it's funny really as it feels this team is screaming out for a experienced and passionate manager with a bit of direction.

don't get me wrong i'm all for giving TM 1 more window as I strongly believe what he is trying to do for the club is good it needed a major overhaul and he had the balls to not * around and get straight to it and try and sort it out.

you can say almost half the team is loanees but tell me this in what other way would we have got Keane, Kamara, N'geumo and Braffheid. Maybe N'geumo could have been signed straight up perhaps but in today's world and the lack of options when it comes to money in the spl means teams even celtic included need to be as tight as a virgin's * when it comes to splashing the cash and loaning players gives the manager the option to see whether the player is worth signing as they get to see him week in week out rather then trust the odd scout report.

I see alot of people saying Keane was the boards signing and that people are also moaning about the sale of Fox, which even I thought was outragous I actually liked him he was hard in a tackle good at attacking average at defending and a good crosser of the ball thats a defo improvement on Naylor IMO and believe his sale was down to the board and not TM.

Seriously unless your player was a say real MASSIVE failure like say Camara remember him? which manager would sell on a player he brought in six months later. The board are blowing hot and cold almost as much or even more then Skoosh himself, in one hand there is the funds to buy players and in the other it's the puppet strings still worrying over profit off pitch rather then on pitch.

I would have like to have thought Mark Hughes would have been a good choice but after being with City and their money he may have got used to it and wouldn't come here. It would be nice to get a manager for a change who already has had a fair amount of success other then in the championship, but with celtic the question is who really, who is actually a better manager then Walter Smith?

I struggle to think of anyone who celtic can afford who could out wit Walter

I want Mogga to stay. Give him til christmas. I said in previous threads, that if everymanager failed to win the league. Burns would have been sacked. O'Neill would only have been here for 3 seasons. His last would have been UEFA cup final season, when we failed in 5 competitions. Give him time. He needs to get HIS team on the park, the way he wants to play.

All this going on about Lennon, Lambert, Larsson, Moravcik.........WHY??????

    Lennon has no managerial experience.
Lambert walks out on clubs when he cant hack it
Larsson has just been appointed manager of Landskronna
    Moravcik doesnt have much experience.

If one, or 2 of these people were to take over at Parkhead, and it went severely * up, John Barnes style, would you remember them as great celtic players, or a manager that couldnt hack it at parkhead

I've seen no viable alternative in this thread that would make me want to spend millions on getting rid of Mowbray and outlaying more wages and transfer budgets elsewhere.

Everybody is gutted we've lost the title to 'the worst rangers team in decades' but the facts are we've lost the title to a team that has only been beat once in over an entire calendar year. We know what we have to do next season and there are NO excuses for anyone; the board, the manager or the players.

    * sake here we go again!

face facts the board ARE NOT going to get rid of TM at the end the season he has only just started building his team he wants i didnt expect TM to come straight in and win the league with the players we had

yea don't get me wrong if this time next year celtic are 10points behind and the huns have a game in hand then fine get rid of TM BUT untill then let the poor * have a chance and let him prove to all you members of the "Tony Mowbray Must Go" fan club he is the correct man for the job!!!!

Now untill the board decide to get rid of TM people need to start backing TM and start to think if we get rid of TM then this time next year we will all be haveing the same convo in sacking the new manager!

    * sake, give him til Christmas? Aye sound lets have the huns doing 3 in a row.

    1) This "let him build his own team" is a load of utter pish now and just doesn't wash, he has had 2 transfer windows and has been extremely lucky to get a fuckload of money and the team is rank rotten and trailing Rangers by a huge margin.

    2) He was a centre half and is totally clueless when it comes to organising our defence.

    3) His substitutions are often totally bizarre.

    4) * all passion on the touchline, gives no instructions or guidance to the players to get them "up for it".

    5) Whoever said O'Neill would have only been here 3 seasons if he'd been sacked when we lost the title, at least his team showed progress and there wasn't a massive gap at the top. TM is taking us backwards and not forwards. I have seen nothing positive from the team this season, nothing which gives me hope for next season.

There's 5 reasons why I think he should go.

Not many great managers available right now, I'd probably take Mark Hughes although I'm not sure how he'd cope with the transfer budget contrast to Man City.

CelticRumours at their usual * stirring on Twitter saying that we've been in talks with him since Christmas.

    Get off the guys back.

If the bad Old Firm decisions had gone his way then we would be sittin here still in thde title chase.

He's been VERY unlucky in that we've had 3 centre halves out injured at the same time. Teams rarely have 2 out injured. He knew we needed a centre half so went ans identified St Ledger and Ramis to the board. If the board want to make shameful bids for St Ledger that isn't Mowbrays fault!

Wonder where all the Mark Mcgee lovers are now, there were plenty on here before Mowbry was elected. Just think where we'd be if we took that route.

As one poster said before we need someone who is smarter than Walter Smith, no mean feat. Most people on here probably hate Walter but you can't ignore his qualities or experience. Everton apart his first spell at Rankers was ultra successful, assistant manager to Fergie at Man Utd and had Scotland playing their best football for decades while achieving some impressive results. Now back at Rankers he has a bunch of very average players winning last years title and running away with it this season, not forgetting taking them to the Uefa cup final. He's certainly smarter than the average bear ( pardon the pun ). Does TM have it in him to out fox Smith ? i doubt it. So if we are to look for another manager it has to be a vastly experienced one at club level and on the european scene, not easy to come by on the cheap so i think the board will stick with Tm for the time being. :31:

Slaven Bilic was always my choice when Strachen left and still is. The guy has bag loads of character and tactical know how fucksake he has only lost 4 games in 38 international games thats outstanding in anybodys standards and I know that international management is different but he is a tactical genius. P.s he also manage Hadjuk split with and only lost 2 games of 17.

Avoid Celtic men tied to the burden of the Celtic way myth like the plague. We need an old war horse with at least a decade in club management, maybe more. My fav options (forgetting the unealistic ones like Moyes) would be:

    Roy Hodgson (unlikely)
    Mark Hughes (possible)
    Craig Levein (easiest to get)
