Why everybody going on about MARK HUGHES what the * has he ever done in football he was at man city and had millions to spend and there struggling to get top 4 also at blackburn he did * all i wish ppl would get there heads out the * clouds what world class managers wants to come and manage in Scotland honestly is a pish poor league and also were no guarnteed CL football we'll end up way a * manager simple as that!!!!

 

Would love Bilic or Hodgson. Would take McCarthy or Hughes too. Realistically though I doubt we could get the first 2.

Croatia Played 38 won 27 drew 7 lost 4 Win % 71. Thats outstanding for a manager by anybodys standards

 

some good suggestions here- Mark Hughes, Hodgson and others. We need someone who has been around the block at a high level for a decade or more. People suggesting ex-players with no or little managerial experience are daft in the head. Sort of thinking that probably put Mogga in the frame in the first place.

When a supposed shortlist of the 3 best managers available contained two Celtic-associated guys (Mogga and Coyle) that is not coincidence. These were not the 3 best managers in the world. The Celtic link was clearly a factor. That makes it clear that the club was stupid enough to follow our dafter fans wishes for a Celtic man playing the Celtic way.

This time I really hope (unless its Moyes) that the manager has absolutely no Celtic links because the bottom line is the best managers out there do not have Celtic links.

You would think the board are compelled to restrict our options to an ex-Celt or someone who played for Ireland That is not a great idea given that none of the Irish managers were deemed up to the Irish national job. Why restrict our options to a tiny pool of managers just cause some fans spray their boxers at anything with a green link. Clubs are meant to leave all that sillyness to fans and to use their heads.

 

Alan Shearer would be chased out of Glasgow before the ink had even dried on the contract...

The only ex-Celt who should be on the shortlist but cant see it. Only way you would attract someone at that level is if a unique MON monster transfer kitty was available.
