He finished 8th with them last year and has started poorly this year, he ain't ready.

I'd be devastated to see him come here not be ready for what he had to take on. This next appointment is crucial and IMO we need someone with more experience to sort this squad out and demand something from the board.

I agree mate but you know it will always be mentioned.

For one, it's a guarenteed sell out season ticket wise.

Larsson coming back in some capacity would be out of this world.

He doesn't have to be the main man yet.

I would love it if he wanted to work under someone for a while to hone his craft.

I don't think Henrik could be here in a lesser capacity than the main man, fans would just be clampuring for more of him. His legends too big.

I do hope you mean a quick look. When he joined Villa he hadn't joined for 18 months. Just wasn't at the races, even accounting for the fact that it was Villa.

I was chuffed when Ronny came but said if he didn't make it my concern was we would go back to the tried and tested, "knows the Club" type Manager and haven't changed my views. The way we are now and because, with the bodies that will leave at the end of the season - players and back room - it will almost be a complete rebuild. So whoever it is, it has to be someone for next 3 years minimum. I would even go experienced old head and young guy to take over in 2 years, which is what should have happened with Ronny.

I wouldn't want henrik at this time, And I dont think the board would pay for Moyes or Rodgers.
I wouldnt want a manager that it takes a year to explain what Celtic is to either.
    so no outsiders
Lennon, Strachan, or what about trying to get Paul Lambert ?
    just my opinion
    Ill support whoever they pick.

    Rodgers
    Moyes
    Laudrup
    Yakin
    Schaaf

Any one of them would show even a hint of ambition from the board and get the majority back on side if they were backed appropriately, that however won't happen and we'll be stuck with someone like Owen Coyle

We want to be able to always remember Henrik as the great Celtic player that he was.

I don't think he is cut out to be Celtic manager and he is facing the axe in his current managerial post.

Remember it was Henrik who recommended Bangura to us.

Garde worked with a much reduced budget at lyin still won a cup and got to 2 other finals whilst also qualifying for the champions league. Villa are a disgrace i really dont think he knew quite how bad it was before he took it. Has big game and big club plus european experience he would be a damned site better than keane or coyle.

Can't disagree with your comparison vs Keane or Coyle......in fact there's a few punters on here I'd rather have than either of them, that's how highly I value K & C.

Landing a Brendan Rogers would show serious ambition from the board.

Nope. We need structure, coaching, discipline, forward thinking. If you read about the last 3/4 months at Swansea, he didn't show much of that. Asking for trouble. There will be tears.

I'd like someone with a good personality and slightly mental like a Lennon, Keane, Simeone type don't know any though.

Must be some good unknownish managers in 2nd tiers of Germany or Italy or in Eastern European Leagues or somewhere.

I think the names linked half are very unlikely... Rodgers, Moyes, Keane, O'Neill even Lennon returning and the other half are dreadful M.O'Neill, Coyle, Stubbs, McNamara, Mackay, Sutton etc

I also wouldn't take Strachan back and I dont like Clarke or Laudrup either who I dont think are managers.
