I do think Rodgers is probably a better manager but just think Moyes is more realistic and that he would be good here

    * sad that genuine fans are wasting their evening day-dreaming about getting a half decent manager.

Get GS back at any cost. The $$$ impact of not qualifying for Europe next year or in successive years should be enough to convince even our inept Board

why is everybody assuming Martin O'Neil would need a big budget?he spent two year at Grantham town a year at shepshed charterhouse and ,5 year at Wycombe proves he can work on a tight budget.even at rep Ireland he doesn't have a massive pool of players to choose from but is doing a great job there.I don't what his spending was like at Leicester but at us he spent a lot although market was different back then and we had money to burn and had to compete with a multi million pound cheating Hun side.at Aston villa he had to spend to compete in the premiership like most EPL sides.think he would get the best out of our average side similar what he's doing at Ireland.

dream appointments for me although won't happen Moyes,Rodgers,Cocu,Martin O'Neil.these would be great massive appointments for any club.Desmond get the finger out.

good appointments Lennon,Strachan.Celtic legends.would be chuffed.

could do worse appointments Pulis,Mcarthy,Mcleish.they would at least make us hard to beat.would be a massive upgrade on what we have now which is only a good thing.three experienced guys who would give this team a massive kick up the *.

unknown qauntities(Gamble's) Alex Neil,Micheal oneil,Roy Keane.don't think we should be going down this route.don't know how they would fare here.and there still quite early days into management.not experienced enough for me.exciting but don't think we should risk it.three of them have a lot to prove before they should be considered.maybe in the future.

scraping the barrel appointments Hartley,Yogi Hughes,Robbie neilson.* disappointing appointments although if there appointed I will back them and hope to be proved wrong.and on a bright note at least it's not stubbs.

stubbs.think he deserves a category of his own.this the appointment that would give me a brain anyserum with anger think it deserves a paragraph of its own.under no circumstances should he ever be appointed as Celtic boss at this moment in time.think I would seriously lose the plot if this happens in the summer.liked him as a player and seems a decent guy.there's something about him that reminds me of mowbary though although that's a compliment as I think mowbary light years ahead of him as a manager.

my dream realistic appointment would be Murat yakin.won titles.managed in different countries.young.wouldn't demand a bomb wage.can work on a tight budget.could turn us into a good European side.what he done with Basel in Europe was amazing.am sure that Basel side had some good youngsters in it as well.think he would walk this league.yakin failed at Moscow although Russian league is really weird, teams spending a lot of money and underachieving.different teams winning the league every year.one year a team could win it then come ninth the next.world class managers fail there even with big funds hiddink, unai emery eg.even villas boss is doing * this year domestically after winning the league last year.

I'm flat to the mat pointing this out but somewhere down the line a notion was allowed to take root in our support that managers like Martin are old fashioned. It's not actually true but perception is more important than reality.

It's the sort of notion that we cant play 442 because it's not hip or some bullshit. Copying Barcelona is the only way in football apparently. I had this 442 argument on here very recently. people cling to in vogue fads and run with it. Unfortunately for us there is a notion that Martin is a cheque book manager and old fashioned. Complete tripe just.

All the usual suspects getting banded about. The majority I don't want e.g. Moyes & the others I don't think would come e.g. Rogers. Bielsa is a name that sticks out to me. Out of work, has a renowned philosophy for attacking football & looking at his previous jobs he strikes me as the kind of guy that would be open to a challenge/something new. He has never spent a load of money & at his age he might fancy a pop at the champions league. Would like the Celtic board to really go out and try and convince him.

Just thought of Jorge Sampaoli who was the manager of Chile. Was very impressed with the way that they played. Not sure how good his English is but look at Pochettino when he went to Southampton and now how well he is doing at Tottenham.

The Moyes rumour won't go away, and one panelist on BBC Radio Scotland said earlier that it was his understanding that Moyes would take the job if he got money to spend. That would be the dream appointment for me, but I just can't see it happening.

Realistically, I think it will be less of a blue chip appointment.

    The board aren't stupid.

They know they've made a boo boo with the cut-price appointment, and the fans are now 99% very much in mutiny-mode.

Success has to be bought, they will spend the cash for next season on either Moyes or Rodgers (both guys out of work who ACTIVELY want to come to Celtic under the right circumstances).
