Nearly won a title with Liverpool and they were always around top 6, Klopp has not done much better with them finishing 8th this year. Granted they are in europa cup final but they had luck on side against Dortmund etc.

He is high profile guy like him coming to Scotland is a major coup for us, we would have got nowhere near him a few seasons ago. English media roast him as that is what they like to do , folks have to look past that.

Love how a few think he's an *! Whether he gets it or not, I don't think he's a * - for the most part, he was absolutely fine on that Liverpool documentary. But a few nuggets get chosen from that show - there is a story behind some naff things - for example, that self portrait in his house? Looks pathetic but it was given to him by a children's charity he raised money for. Perhaps he's not so narcissistic that some believe and that he see it as a nice reminder for what he worked for?

I think there's an element of sheep mentality with regards to views on Brendan - some see a pathetic and unfunny Twitter account like Deluded Brendan (which doesn't even evoke his mannerisms at all) and other parodies, and it just snowballs from there, and unfairly impacts upon his view as a football manager.

The fact is he's a good manager - that's all that matters. Along with Moyes, he's more worthy than the others in the shortlist. That is all that matters. Unless some of you want Keane with his great personality but * managerial record? Get your priorities I say to those who despise Rodgers.

There's no real point in comparing him to Klopp, especially considering the fact that Klopp hasn't had time to put together his own side yet.

Rodgers is a decent manager in own right, and fits the bill of someone who's relatively young (he's only 43), and who isn't afraid to try new things and put out a team that entertains.

He ticks all of the boxes, and it would honestly be all kinds of awesome if we got him.
