Could someone who thinks rogers is the man we need explain to me why?Not looking for an argument i just dont see what is so good about him apart from the fact he once managed liverpool and done nothing with them,would people feel the same about him if he came straight from swansea to us?

 

Rodgers used 4-3-3 at Swansea for the most part (switching to 4-2-3-1 to accommodate Sigurdsson in the second part of his last season there).

He initially played 4-3-3 at Liverpool before trying 3-5-2 and then eventually deciding on a modified 4-4-2 diamond formation with Gerrard deepest with Henderson slightly ahead to the right, Coutinho pushed on even further and to the left and Sterling in a relatively free formation. Sometime the formation switched to a 4-3-3 with Sterling going left and Sturridge going right but predominantly a diamond. In his last season and a bit he tried 4-3-3 again before going back to 3-5-2 a lot of the time however never really managed to stick with settled team for one reason or another.

 

The last time we were looking for a manager Brendan Rodgers was reigning English manager of the year and one of the best in Europe. If anyone would have suggested him at that time they'd have been laughed at.

 

Its not a done deal ....anything could happen

 

He got them their highest finish in * knows how long, and probably would have won the league had Gerrard not slipped in that match. Had them playing good football. Has the respect of Gerrard and Suarez, amongst others.
