I don't think we should rush this process.

The first Champions League qualifier is usually an easy one anyway.

I would think whoever is picked, we should have a very good chance of qualifying with this squad.

He def sent some dodgy texts , no doubt about that but no charges wer brought by the FA and they even questioned the reliabilty and completeness of the evidence

But that was under Ronny, comon :smiley-laughing002:
I mean, it beggars belief we couldn't beat Legia and then Maribor, especially at Murrayfield.
How did that happen again ?

Of course, the new management team will be aware of this.
DM , striker, another right back and left back ?

I'm not using the fact he has won "nothing" solely against him though.

I'm just questioning his ability somewhat due to his record overall as a manager, it's nothing special and I don't see why so many cream their knickers at the mere thought of him here.

His system and mindset is admirable but it wouldn't suit us. We don't have the players nor do we have the finances to back him sufficiently enough in order to get the players he'd need.

For DM I suppose/hope Ajer will be good enough. Right back Lustig, Janko, Fisher and Ralston. Much rather give Ralston a chance than someone new.
Agree with striker and left back but agree with you that with this squad I reckon we could get through the qualifiers.

Aye, I agree with you for once. Maybe a CB if Simonovic is out injured for too long. Ambrose or Boyata in defense doesn't fill me with confidence.

Aye, looking at that list we could maybe pass on RB.
And right enough, McGregor is also looking good at DM, and Ajer I forgot about.

Yes we do need another CB.

@Monaghan- can't quote you for some reason.

In terms of potentially being a Celtic coach he's done more in his career than most other managers that we've appointed since the turn of the century. And he's done as much if not more than any other candidate we're linked with. I'm not saying he's a world class coach or something I just think the character he is and the style of football he likes is just extremely appealing to people.

I guess I just view football differently than a lot of people here, I value the entertainment side really highly as in just as important as some people view regularly reaching the CL group stages. Thus the potential of Biesla being Celtic manager fills me with excitement, same with Rodgers.

I don't think Biesla is in the running anyways, so none of it really matters.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not some dull, unimaginative * who would not be excited if he did come.

I just have doubts over whether he is really suited to us or what we need right now. I'd love us to be able to destroy teams on the continent consistently with fast, attacking football but I don't think it's honestly all that realistic.

I want Rodgers in but I think he is pragmatic enough to know when to change his style in order to accommodate certain games.

Right now we need to make the most sensible and best appointment possible, someone who can alter the way the club operates at every level. I think that screams Moyes or Rodgers. Anything else, as others have said, and I'd be bitterly disappointed now.
