Can't help but feel we have set ourselves up for a fall and it will be Keane or Mckay

Croatian league is dross but, is it not. Especially when you look at the players Zagreb continually produce and can even afford to bring in, it's a situation similar to ourselves.

He sounds impressive! Especially the unbeaten run, need to have a tight team to achieve that!

Would he not be counted as a bit of a risk though? Untested in Scottish/British football and has only managed one team so far in his career so hard to judge how well he adapts to different styles and environments.

Mamic is the type of appointment which would make sense. If we cant get a big name ie moyes or rodgers and struggle to convince a lambert type to come here. He knows the champions league qualifiers and how to negotiate them, manages a big club in a small pond and would have knowledge of under utilised markets in eastern europe.

it first I thought it would have been one of keane, mckay, coyle.but I'm starting to get confident that it wont be one of those three.

anybody else thinking there couldnt be a better time to get a top class coach in? with Rodgers, moyes, flores, yakin, biesla, martinez all looking for work.honestly cant remember a time when we have been looking for a coach so many good canditates available.hopefully board don't make a * of things.whoever it is i will back them and hopefully they do well even if its a keane, coyle, or McKay.

Could be a short term appointment if he is given the job seeing as he is under investigation for embezzlement and tax evasion in Croatia.

I am actually starting to believe it is going to be Moyes or Rodgers. And I haven't even been drinking.

honestly don't think the club would make this appointment with all the hassle and bad coverage it would make.although the guy seems to have done a good job with dynamo.maybe mamic has contacted lawell for the job,he might be safe here.I don't know if croatia can extradite criminals from here, there not really a powerful country he might have protection here * knows.

    I'm unconvinced.

It would be another risk that the board won't take at this point, in my opinion. I think there is more chance of Lennon getting the job back first.

If we want to make another foreign appointment we should be looking at Thomas Schaff or another German coach.

Same, i laughed at suggestions that it would have been possible, but I'm starting to believe.its not starting to sound as far fetched as it once did.

Out of curiosity, why are so many people convinced Lennon won't get the job back? Just because it would be really backwards?

    There in lies the problem.

That's to much * logical thinking for our board to handle.

When put like that I it sounds like a very astute idea.

I am one of the biggest Neil Lennon fans you would ever meet but even I view Neily as a standby option if there is a possibility of getting Brendan Rodgers. If someone who thinks as much of Neil Lennon as I do feels that way then it's hard to imagine Dermot Desmond doesn't feel the same.

I think Desmond wouldn't be unhappy to have Neil Lennon back in the dugout but it seems pretty clear to me that he isn't first choice for the job this time. In fact I bet he's not even in the top three. In my mind I have pretty much come to terms with the idea that Neily isn't coming back.
