Oh you're right it's lazy to the point that all we have to do is hire him then sit back and relax. I think half this forum should be rooting for him too because I will have nothing to * about so I can go back to my natural default mode of lurking contently in the background. I dont post unless I have something to say and * Deila has me roaring from the rooftops. So if yas want to get rid of me and not have to listen to me back David Moyes.

Aye you're right you've convinced me now. Seriously though his football is utter garbage & you can make excuses for his recent failures if you want but they're still failures. Guy's a dumpling. Never won a trophy in his puff, plays rotten football & sacked from his last two jobs. Come on seriously?

No need to get yer knickers in a twist. Was only giving across my opinion just like you were.

I can make excuses because it's Man United first of all, one of the toughest jobs in world football. Never mind the fact he was following one of the greatest managers in history and had supposedly been hand picked by the man himself.

We aren't blessed with alot of options. In terms of the ones mentioned he is up there with the best.

:smiley-laughing002: I'm not exactly getting my knickers in a twist don't worry. It's was a tough job in one aspect: he was following one of the most successful managers in Britsh football ever. With the finances he had at his disposal, the facilities & the players he had means it wasnt exactly as bad as it could be & that's an understatement. To be languishing in the position he had them was atrocious & he deserved the boot. He also had them playing crap football.

Like I said though, I'm still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

All you need to do is look at his successor. Supposedly a 'world class' manager who is also playing rotten football and for a while there had a worse record than Moyes himself.

I think Ferguson and his genius had been disguising just how bad that United side was for a while. Moyes was left with a bit of a mess of a squad, IMO. Still some world class players, yes, but nothing which was going to make his job alot easier.

Sociedad could have went either way. There's a reason British gaffers don't regularly go abroad. I was surprised at his move there but was not surprised by the end result.

He has qualities which would be of massive use to us. The fact remains, whether it's him that comes in or not whenever Deila does go, we need experience next, IMO.

Indeed I have no time for pointless backslapping and all that. I could pop in for the odd debate but if things are good I will be content and just lay back and enjoy it. This Deila business is not a normal thing hence the massive spike in my posts.

Paul Clement has just got the sack off Derby even though they were 5th and only a few points off an automatic promotion place.

The guy's been an assistant at Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid, so he definitely knows how to deal with the pressure of games at the top level - fair enough he was the assistant and not the manager, but he has experience at that level and that could be what we need to get us through tricky European ties.

Don't know if we would get him but he definitely is a name I wouldn't mind.

Same one. He's spent well over £30m in dross to be fair, hence the clubs lack of patience with the poor form.

Main thing seems to be finding a guy who could do well with our current transfer policy.

If it is up for discussion then no other names should be mentioned outwith MON, Lenny, & Moyes. Out of that three only one is available right now.
